Throughout all the turmoil and pain of war, Rose would always take time to look around, to remember what she was fighting for. As she stood with Pearl on the mountain side, Rose was struck with wonder-lust at the mere amount of life on the planet known as earth.

"Isn't it beautiful Pearl? I've never seen anything so pure, so alive before."

"This world is dull in comparison to your grace. My Rose."

Rose turned to Pearl in pure astonishment. All Rose could do was smile faintly and grab Pearl's hand.

"Oh Pearl. You're truly wonderful"

And Rose knew in that moment, despite what might happen, it was all worth it.
