POV NadiaDear Diary,
Today has been a very busy day at work, it is 6:30 pm and my turn ends in two hours. Costumers have left me very kind tips and this is what I believe is relevant enough that requires to be written. Drum-rolls please... I almost reach the last three thousand bucks I need for my trip to NYC :)!!!
Can you believe it? I'll be soon walking past 5th Ave... A dream come true.
If I keep up the good work I might only need two or three more months of work ahead.
Ann is coming, I'll right soon.
Kisses,
Nadia
"What are you doing?" Blurts Ann, "We've got dozens of costumers that haven't had their orders taken yet."
"I'm sorry," I say, closing my notebook, "I got distracted."
"You sure did," she snatches the notebook from my hand, "I'll keep this until you finish."
I clench my fists, she can't keep that, it's mine.My notes and personal stuff are there. Anger begins to build inside me.
"That is not yours to keep." I say
Ann instantly drops my red leather notebook causing a huge commotion, "Ow ow ow,"she says and runs to the sink were she starts on the cold water.
I kneel and reach for my notebook, it's nothing near burning hot, it's only warm 'cause I was holding it in my lap a moment ago. Before Ann comes back with her hand in a cup of cold water, I slide my notebook under a chair.
"Are you okay?" I ask
"No, I... I don't know, my hand hurts," she groans, "something burned me."
She takes a glance at her hand but immediately soaks it back into the cup.
"I'll bring some more water."
I speed away from her. I touch my hands and search for any signs of inflammation or burns on my flesh, but there aren't any, on the contrary my hands are in perfect conditions.
I come back with a bowl of cold water in my hands and give it Ann, how did this even happen? I sit besides her and look at her gloomy expression. How did I not burn like her? She soaks her hand in the bowl.
"The throbbing doesn't stop Nadia."
"Maybe we should take you to the hospital," I suggest, "let me see your hand."
I grab Ann from her wrist trying not to hurt her, her palm is bright red and has some very small blisters in her finger tips.
"Nadia?" She asks, "Is it bad?"
"Kind of, I should take you to the hospital."
"No, don't worry I'll go myself, someone needs to stay and take charge," she mumbles.
I nod, she gives me the bowl and I go to get a bandage from the first aid kit in one of the kitchen's cabinets. When I'm back she has her winter coat on and a scarf wrapped around her neck. She extends her hand and I cover her wound.
"I'll be back as soon as I can," she says.
I walk her to the door, I notice for the first time that most of our costumers are looking our way, some heads turn around, avoiding us. Apparently we made a huge fuss about a hand burn but, since when do people get hurt by a boiling hot notebook? I shake the taught from my head. Once I see Ann crossing the street I walk back to the cashier.
"How long do we get to wait?" someone in the shop fumed.
I ignore them and begin to attend costumers including the one that was clearly tired of waiting.
"May I take your order?" I pull a note pad from my apron to write another order.
"I would like an Expresso and it's also going to be a takeaway."
"Okay," I write it down, "name?"
"Morgan."

So, did you like it? I hope you did! :) I was afraid it was a too late, I had a hard time trying to write the chapter as similar as the first version. And I know I'm not the only one that has ever had a writer's block ;)
Let me know what you think about it! And please take some time to comment and vote!
Love you all,
Lily♡
