I crawl to my mothers side and lift up her head. Blood was stained on her nose and bruises were scattered around her face. My father looked worst. A single bullet hole was in their chest. It just scrapped their heart and by that I knew they suffered. I knew who did this and I know what I'm going to do about it.
I hear a soft cry coming from upstairs. My mother was pregnant and almost due before this happened but her stomach was still huge. I do have another little sibling but she was taken away from them when she was 4 years old. She probably doesn't remember me but I remember her like it was yesterday.
I softly lie my mothers head back onto the ground and walk up the stairs. I have no idea what I will find but if someone is still here I am willing to fight. I know I should call Carlos but I want to do this on my own. I'm old enough and this is my family.
The crying is louder and it sounds like a newborn cry. I follow the noise to the nursery in the back, which is also my parents' room. I open the door and look around. The crying is coming from the crib. I walk over to it and I look inside. Sure enough there is a newborn baby laying it the crib, covered in blood and wrapped loosely in a sweater. I remove the sweater and I find a note. I pick it up and I read it out loud.
"Congratulations it's a boy! You never should've ran because little did you know I know everything about you. I do my research and you should really do yours. I look forward to seeing you soon.... Baby girl. xx- Dean." I drop the note and fall beside the bed. I softly cry into my hands. I can't do this. I will kill him. He deserves to die and killing my parents just made him number one of my list. I will find him, if it's the last thing I do.
I call Carlos after I finished crying and I tell him about my parents and the baby. He told me that he'll be here with Mikey and the boys in 10 minutes. I leave the crying baby in the crib because I don't know what to do with it. I know it's hungry but there's nothing here for a newborn baby to eat. My mother was planning on breast feeding so she didn't buy any bottles.
Shortly after Carlos pulls in and walks into the house. I meet him downstairs and he tells me to show him the baby. I lead him into my parents room. (A/N if you're confused because there's an upstairs in a trailer, it's because there were parts of the house builded on. I'm sorry for confusing you.) I point towards the crib and Carlos walks over to it.
"There's a note." I tell him and he picks it up. He scans over the note and shakes his head. He looks down at the baby and plays with it's hand. He talks to it and it stops crying. I could've done that, I guess.
"You're staying with me at the mansion until we know for sure that it's safe. Leaving you alone is a bad idea right now." He tells me. I nod my head and walk back downstairs to my room. I pack a few bags and put my special belongs in a separate bag. Mikey takes them and when I walk back upstairs, Carlos has the baby in a diaper and in a yellow onesie. My mother didn't want to know the gender of the baby so she bought colour for the same sex. Pretty much anything.
"Pack the baby's bag to because it's coming with us." He tells me. I nod my head and grab a bag from the closet and pack everything there is in the room. According to the baby. We have everything there is but baby bottles and baby formula.
"I'm going to have to get baby bottle and baby food. My mother was going to breast feed so she didn't get anything like that." I explain to Carlos. He just nods his head and looks at the newborn boy in his arms. I never saw him handle a baby before and it's quite interesting. He looks like he knows what he's doing.
Mikey and two other guys take me to the twenty-four hour pharmacy to pick up formula and the bottles. Mikey comes in with me and we just look confused looking at the formula. A middle aged women walks towards us and gives us a shy smile.
"Would you like any help?" The women asks us. I nod my head and motion towards the formula.
"What's good for a newborn?" I ask. The women picks up a twenty-four canned box and hands it to me.
"It has the right amount of nutrients and fibres for your little bundle of joy. It'll get him full." She explains and puts her hand on Mikey's shoulder. I watch as Mikey tenses and I want to laugh but I don't.
"Um, I'm sorry but my mother just had a boy and he was early so we're just picking up some formula for when she gets home." I explain. The women apologizes but congratulates us on our baby brother. We buy three things of formula and a few bottle packages. The younger women working at the cash register sends Mikey and I dirty looks. I glare at her and Mikey just laughs at me.
"That was the most awkward thing I've ever done in my life." I say to Mikey as we walk out of the store. He laughs and agrees with me. Just as we got done putting the stuff in the trunk three cars pull up and about ten men jump out. Mikey yells at me to get in the car and as I'm about to my eyesight goes black and something hard hits me on the head. The darkness takes over.
