"How do you know each other again Quinn?" Caitlin asked as she did more tests.

"Here we go. Go on tell them." Barry laughed.

"Well we were all around like ten years old and there was this obnoxious group of boys. Barry was getting in a little bit of trouble with them because they were picking on a kid. I was walking by with Iris and saw a boy take a swing at Barry and , me being me, jumped in and kicked all of their asses. The rest is history."

Quinn bit into her apple and adjusted the IV in her arm. "How many more tests do I have to do?" Cisco stopped spinning in his chair and shrugged, "You barely have blood because of the samples that went into your body so no clue." With that he kept spinning in his chair.

"I think it's cute. How the girl stood up for the guy." Caitlin smiled.

Barry chuckled and stood up. "I am going to go run on the treadmill for a little longer." Quinn took this as her opportunity to talk to him about what was going on with them. "Wait up!"

Quinn took out the IV and hopped off of the medical table. Barry stood at the glass door and smiled at her child like manner. "So Mr.Allen how do you feel?" Barry chuckled once again, "You sound like Wells."

"Kinda what I was going for." Quinn walked into the room with the giant treadmill and sat on the giant heap. "I need to tell you something." Barry stiffened at her words, but gave her a look to continue.

"Well, let me start with how this all happened. Uh okay so after I had run all the errands for Thawne, I went back home because I was tired and I had to research and test samples. They were all spread out next to my computer, it was about midnight, and I heard this enormous explosion. Next thing I know I wake up. The test tubes and their contents were busted and spread everywhere, including my body."

She paused to study Barry's facial expressions. He was listening intently.

"And, I walk downstairs and he tells me six months has passed and that Harrison Wells needs to do tests on me." Here comes the hard part, she thought. "Barry, I have powers. I can move things with my mind and Wells said that is just the beginning. Please don't think I'm a freak."

Barry realized she was done talking and took it as his cue to start. "Harley, I have powers too. Well, not really powers plural, but I run really fast."

"Then we're both freaks. As if we weren't before."

"Alright Ms.Quinn, let's test what you do."

It had been little over a week since she awoke from her death like coma, and Dr.Wells started her and Barry's training right away. Caitlin hung out with Barry and his vitals while Cisco decided to stay with the psychic freak.

So far, she had been able to move things with her mind, control the energy in the atmosphere, and read thoughts. For someone who was experiencing all of this for the first time, Wells sure as hell knew what he was doing.

No breaks had been allowed to the Hernandez during her extensive course. Wells and Cisco had been pushing her since the last shard of glass came out. Cisco monitored vitals and gave 'encouragement' while Wells sat in his wheelchair telling her what to do and think. She was sick of it. She wanted to slowly be exposed to her powers. Not shoved into them. It felt forced and uncomfortable.

"Are we almost done? I' m exhausted and Barry gets breaks." Quinn whined.

"Yes Barry does get breaks, but that is because he runs. He doesn't have psychokinesis like you. Your power is strong and you need to learn it at a quicker pace then he does!"

Harrison regained his composure and dismissed the psychic girl, following behind her to the Cortex. He was surprised she had not asked about the day they met in the street. Wells already knew she would be a victim or at least he hoped she would be. He knew she was lying dead in her apartment right after the explosion had gone off. He needed her to have rage towards the ones she loved.

Quinn was a very important variable in his equation.

Caitlin greeted Cisco, Quinn, and Wells as they entered the room. Barry grabbed his jacket and told Quinn they needed to go. Joe was wanting them back at the station.

"Why? What's wrong?" Quinn questioned.

Barry shook his head and kept walking.

***

This is gonna be a disaster, Quinn thought. She had never been so angry at two people she loved so much. Joe and Iris didn't call, text, come check on her. Nothing. They left her. Abandoned her for six months and she didn't know how she would react when she saw them.

When they walked in, Quinn was immediately tackled in a hug. Iris.

"Oh my God Quinny! Where have you been?"

Dead in my apartment.

"Could ask you the same thing West." Quinn shrugged out of the hug and went to where Barry stood.

I can't do this. I cant fake that they did't abandon me.

Barry wrapped his arm around the shorter girl while he talked to Joe. He was going on about "how proud and happy he was that Barry lived.' Quinn shoved away from both men. She didn't wanna be around as they boasted about Barry being alive. She was dead for six months and nobody noticed. It was like she disappeared from Central City.

Allen noticed and excused himself from the conversation. He didn't want to watch Quinn go through this. He knew what she was hurting about. Joe was talking about Barry being alive while Quinn was dead. Barry couldn't understand how they forgot about her. She was the life of every party she ever attended.

Quinn was witty, goofy, beautiful. Everything anyone needs yet she was kicked aside and left for dead.

Barry went back to wrapping his arm around her. "What's wrong Harles?" Quinn wiped her eyes with her sweater sleeve and sighed, "How could they forget about me? I got abandoned by people I called family. Again."

"You are a beautiful soul Quinn. Maybe there is an explanation. They know what happened with your family. They wouldn't put you through that again." Barry pulled her into his arms and stroked her hair.

"You're okay baby girl."
