The loud stomps hurt my ears from where I stood in-between two elephants, hidden from the crowd. The large Africa Elephants performed and walked around with two beautiful girls, Joel and Winter, on their back. As I spoke loudly, "Kick!" The gray creatures kicked back, earning large cheers from the crowd.
I lived for those loud cheers. The people young and old cheering when they heard "Magica Circus" was coming into town. Life with the circus was a fresh start for me two years ago. I was the weird kid. It was past getting laughed at and picked on. People were honestly scared to be around me.
That was all forgotten when I joined the circus. I knew I was great with animals. It had been an awkward hobby of mine to research animals and I love exotic things. So I joined the circus. I went to the ring leader and told him what I could do. He thought my abilities with animals were amazing and he thought my weirdness would fit right in with the rest of the circus family. So here I am today.
My circus life is amazing. We travel everywhere and see amazing things. We make people smile everyday. And when the ring leader, Niall, said I would fit in with the family, he was right. All the people in our circus crew are fun, and weird. We all fit like puzzle pieces together. If you don't act a certain way, or don't fit in with us as people, you can't join "Magica Circus."
I walked one last circle with the elephants. Joel and Winter waved goodbye to all the families and our night was finished.
Niall stood in the middle of the large circle, turning his head every few seconds to see the whole crowd.
"Goodnight everybody! I hope you had a magical night here with "Magica Circus"! We all hope to see ya soon! "
The little Irish man ran out of the large red and white striped tent. Once everyone left, the tent would come down and be packed away into the train again. All our vendor carts and small stages for the smaller acts would be packed up too. This area will soon just be a large field in less then one night.
I ran up behind Niall and clapped him on the shoulder.
"Great show tonight, eh? "
"Yeah it was great!" He exclaimed happily.
That was the reason Niall was the ring leader. He got on so well with people and he can connect with the crowd.
I tugged tighter on the think ropes attached to the elephants, throwing the weight over my shoulder, and continued walking.
How far away are we from the train , Louis?"Winter called down.
"Five minutes!"
Niall turned to me suddenly
"Did you get the news?"
"Um, no?" I replied confusedly.
Eh, I thought you would be the first one ta know! Always gossiping with Jeremy." He laughed loudly as I punched him in the arm.
"We got ourselves a new acrobat to replace Sherry."
He said, mentioning our old acro who got into a major incident with bad injuries.
"Oh that's great!" A smile etched it's way across my face. "The crowd will love that. Will they fit in with the family?"
"18. Cheshire. Socially awkward. His name is Harry Styles. "
Niall listed off facts, then continued talking.
"I'm not so sure about him. He's got talent, but he was quite and shy when I met him. Everybody here is so obnoxious" He shook his head, and laughed. "They might just eat him up!"
