Louis' POV

Life literally sucks, I thought as I sobbed in my train cart. Yeah, my train cart. Just my bed, my tears, and I. Liam moved out a couple weeks ago, right after Harry told me... the shocking news. Liam didn't have the balls to leave the circus though. I heard he's rooming with Winter. Good for her, that slut was always after Liam anyway.

The door to my cart slid open.

"Fuck." I muttered.

You would think that I'd would be mad people kept breaking into my space to tell me "Oh Louis, it will all blow over soon." "You'll be okay!' or "You didn't anything wrong. It's just how you feel"

If you thought that, you're wrong. I've been my own support system ever since I made the major mistake of crushing on a straight guy. Madison, Niall, Zayn, even Jeremy! They all dropped me like I was a bag of trash. I really don't blame them though. I'm a screw up. I always have been. What kind of normal teenager works in a damn circus?

The worst part is that I know I ruined Harry's life as well. He's just some cute, innocent, and completely perfect guy, and I'm an asshole who wrecked his chances at becoming the acrobat he always dreamed about being. I know for a fact that he hates me. Everyone does.

The intruder shows his face. Well, their faces, and one of them is a girl.

"Hi Louis." Joel whispers. I barely hear her. I'm focused on the face behind hers.

"Liam?" I sob. Of course, as soon as I stop crying, the waterworks make a dramatic entrance again.

"Hey Louis." His voice is scratchy, and beard is too long. This isn't the Liam I know.

The Liam I know shaved his stubble every morning while I smiled at him in the mirror. My Liam always kept his chin up and shoulders back. Everybody knew when he walked in the room. He had always been like that, even in high school. This Liam has bags under his eyes that are literally black. He doesn't look at me when he speaks and his leaning into Joel like he's a lost puppy and she's taking him home. His clothes are dirty, and acne is sprouting on his nose and hair line. I can't imagine that I look any better.

"I brought us here today to get you both up to date on life." She stared us both in the eyes.

"Neither of you have been outside of these smelly train carts since that day."

I look at Liam. His eyes are a sad, mucky brown.

"Forget about you guys for two seconds though. Lets talk about the world class asshole named Harry Styles."

"Joel, that's not really-"

"Shut up Louis. You won't like his sorry ass after I tell you what he's been up to." Joel glares into me. I swear it feels like she's actually burning holes into my face.

"Harold has taken over the circus, in a sense. He's got Winter draped on him like a Burberry coat. Zayn is just wrapped around his little finger, and he's slowly manipulating Niall into kicking both of out on the streets."

My jaw hits the ground with a thud when Joel announces this information at Winter and Harry.

"Liam- What? I thought Winter- Didn't she like you? Why aren't you surprised?" I fumble through my words like a toddler just learning how to speak.

"I-ehm.. Heard them one night when I was still bunking with Winter."

"Still?"

"No, um, now I'm sleeping in the animal cage cart." He murmured.

"Liam!" I gasp. "That's terrible."

"It's not as bad as it seems." The sickly boy sheepishly shrugs his broad shoulders.
