Inara's POV
We all heard a scream from upstairs. The boys quickly got up and ran upstairs and I followed close behind. I stopped at Jaime's door and saw why she screamed. Jaime was face down on his bed and Arianna was trying desperately trying to get him up.
"DON'T JUST STAND THERE! HELP ME!" she yelled, crying. I ran in and helped her flip Jaime over. Then I checked gor a pulse on his neck. It was faint but still there.
"We have to get him to the hospital, NOW!" I said. The boys nodded and quickly got Jaime to the car. Arianna sat on the floor, crying hard. I sat with her and hugged her tightly. "I swear to God, Ari... He'll be okay.." I said.
"How could you be so sure...? What if... He doesnt... I only spent a night with him... And now I might lose him forever..."
"You won't!" I said. "We will go to the hospital and the doctors will take care of him.." she nodded and stood with me.
"Lets go.." she said, walking out. I followed and got into her car. Luckily, the boys were smart enough to leave without us and get Jaime the medical attention he needed.
At the hospital, Ari isolated herself from everyone. I can't even imagine how she feels.. I'd be devastated if something happened to Tony. I cuddled closer to him and closes my eyes. If I ever lost Tony, I think I'd just die. He's been my everything since we've met. A bit weird and corny to say I loved him at first sight but it's true. Now that he was mine I didn't want to risk anything to lose him. The doctor came to us and we all directed our attention towards him.
"Are you all here for Mr. Preciado..?" We all nodded and looked at one another. "Well.. I'm afraid I have terrible news... He's... Passed on.." I quickly got up and went to Ari who looked like she was gonna pass out. She started sobbing and the doctor came over to console her. "Ma'am... I'm sorry for your loss.. But I can assure you... Dylan isn't suffering anymore.." Wait... Dylan?! The fuck?!
"Um.." I said.. "We're here for Jaime Preciado... Not Dylan.." The doctors eyes widened and he stood up.
"I am terribly sorry for the mix up!" He said, handing Arianna a box of kleenex. "I'll check on him right away." Ari sniffles an nodded and the doctor walked off quickly. Probably embarrassed as hell.
"Wooow..." Tony said, trying to suppress a laugh. I glared at him and mouthed "shut up." He nodded and pulled his hat down so I couldn't see his eyes. Ari hugged me tightly and sighed.
"Oh my god.. Stupid doctor.." She said, wiping her eyes. I nodded and kisses her cheek.
"Like I said, Jaime will be fine."
The doctor came back about ten minutes later. "So.. Jaime Preciado is awake and alert which is a very good sign." He said. Arianna and I sighed in relief and the boys stood up.
"Can we go see him..?" Vic asked, biting his lip. The doctor nodded and we all headed to Jaime's room. When we walked in, we saw Jaime scratching his head and changing the tv. Ari quickly ran to his side and hugged him tightly. Aparently he wasn't expecting us so he screamed.
"It's me you dope!" Ari said, crying and holding on to him. He frowned and hugged her back.
"I'm sorry.. I didn't expect you.." He chuckled a bit. He looked at all of us and smiled. "So.. What happened exactly..?"
"Ari came up to get you for breakfast and found you passed out.." Mike said, looking at him. Ari nodded and held on to him.
"I thought you were gone.." She said, hiccuping. He held her tightly and kisses her head. We were soon interrupted by a nurse bringing Jaime his lunch. I noticed a piece of paper under the tray and raised an eyebrow.
"Jaime..?" I asked, lifting the tray cover and revealing a note. "What's this..?" He shrugged his shoulders and opened it. When he read it, his eyes widened and he held Ari closer to him. Then, handed me the note to read. In purple ink, it said:
"She's Next."
