Chapter 1 - Tryouts

It was around 6am when Luke woke up, because of course he had to work.

Luke worked at home because he didn't trust anyone else with his kids.

While Luke worked at home, Stell was always out producing music. Yes, it might seem a little weird that Luke is working too, because being a music producer, you get lots of money.

Luke wanted to support the family too. He didn't expect Stell to do all the work and make all the money.

It's not like Stell is really. Luke stays home and keeps care of his kids. He makes them food when they are hungry, or takes them out when they want to go places.

As Luke is sitting at the kitchen table, working and drinking his coffee, Robert runs up to him and says, "Daddy can we go to the pool?"

"Of course! Let me change." Luke said, smiling.

He then, shut his computer, finished his coffee, and went up stairs and changed.

When Luke was changed, he put sunscreen on the kids, and then himself.

They finally got to the pool. Luke watched his kids swim as he texted Stell.

Luke took some photos of Robert and Rey and sent them to Stell. She loved the photos.

"Mom is home!" Rey said.

Rey and Robert ran to her, giving her a hug. Luke stood behind them laughing.

Stell then told the kids to go wait for her on the couch to watch a movie.

Luke pulled Stell into a hug. They then both looked at eachother, then kissed.

"How was work?" Luke asked.
"It was really fun actually!" Stell said.

Luke then just walked into the living room where the kids were. He hated how she got to go out all the time and have all the fun.

Of course he loves the kids, he loves hanging out with them, but sometimes he wants to have fun on his own, or with Stell. Infact, the entire family.

Stell walks into the room, whispering to Luke to come into the kitchen because she wanted to talk to him. Luke followed her into the kitchen.

"Why did you get so pissed at me?" Stell said.

"It's not that I'm pissed, It's that I miss having fun, like on my own." Luke said.

"I heard there are tryouts for some band. It's all the way in Virginia. I can take off work for a bit to watch the kids while you are gone."

"You would seriously do that? You're making me feel bad now"

"No, don't feel bad. I need time to hang with the kids because I'm barely around to hang out with them. You can leave tomorrow morning, I'll go right now and buy the plane tickets!"

"Thank you so much Stell, I love you."

"I love you too, Luke."

They then pull into a short kiss.

As Stell was buying the tickets, Luke walked into the living room, telling his kids about his plans.

The kids were going to miss him, but they wanted him to be in a band.

Michael told his wife Rose and his 4 kids that he was going to try and make a band with Ashton.

Rose and the kids were actually very happy because it was the only way they could make money.

Rose's job was working at a small cupcake shop, which didn't make lots of money.

That wasn't the only reason her and the kids wanted him to make a band. He enjoyed singing and playing guitar more than anything. (of course not his family but you know what i mean) In highschool he would always write songs for Rose, once he stopped having sex. He now always plays it for the kids. They enjoy it very much.

[ the next morning ]

Ashton and Michael set up the garage to get ready for the tryouts. They had a small table, two notebooks and two pens.

The tryouts were not going as well as they hoped. To be honest, everyone sucked, but they weren't giving up hope.

A tall boy walked in. He was wearing a black hat, with a plain white t-shirt, black skinny jeans, and black vans.

"Hello, I'm Calum Hood, I wanted to tryout?" The boy said.

"Of course, you can start whenever you're ready." Michael said.

Ashton couldn't even speak. He thought Calum was very attractive. If he could sing too, Ashton would be even more happy.

Calum started singing All About You by McFly.

As Calum sang Michael and Ashton were stunned by his voice. The way he sang was perfect to them.

When Calum finished the clapped for him. Calum then smiled kind of awkwardly.

"You're in the band!" Ashton said.

"Really?" Calum said.

"Yes!"

There was one more tryout.

A very tall boy walked in with very long legs and quiffed hair. He had a lip piercing, which Michael thought was very hot, but he remembered he was straight and had a wife...

The boy was wearing all black. black hat, black shirt, black skinny jeans and black converse.

"Hello, my name is Luke Hemmings, and I'm trying out." The boy said.

"Whenever you're ready!" Ashton said.

Michael literally couldn't stop staring, Luke had so much beauty. He then rememebered, again, that he is straight and had kids. Shit.

Luke started to sing a song called Please Don't Go by Mike Posner.

Michael and Ashton were in love with his voice. They loved the way he sang so much. The way he sang seemed impossible.

He finished and Ashton and Michael clapped and cheered for him. Luke stood there awkwardly smiling.

"You're so in the band." Michael said.

"Really?" Luke said.

"Yes, you have an amazing voice and just need you."
