Remember the first time you caught my eyes,
Everything was bizarre and I felt butterflies
All of a sudden you asked my name
I replied even though I was so full of shame
You offered to walk me home on a Monday
I said yes, it was definitely our first date
You waited at the door and everyone saw
They started teasing us,
So I looked at them raw
We walked side by side along with my friends
And when we stopped you gave me a punchline that knocked me dead
I brought you to my house in order to meet my family
You were so tensed; luckily they welcomed you warmly
You sat on the couch and asked me a question
I replied with a yes, so full of tension
More days passed people started to notice me glow
And every single day you entered my classroom with a show
We would laugh and talk
And sometimes even argue
But it all eventually stops whenever my subject teacher comes near you
You would run out the back door
And I would plant my foot on the floor
The class would start and my mind wanders into your stare
This made everybody seem to glare
More weeks passed and our Christmas party came
You haven't talked to me in days, I felt kind of lame
That night, I was sick; you asked me to go out
I wore my best dress and you arrived with a frown
I asked if you were okay, you said you were down with the flu
We were both sick but there was nothing else we could do
And so instead, we headed to the mass
I told you we were late and that you were such an ass
You laughed at me and promised that we would get a seat
And after arriving I was shocked with disbelief
We sat down on the chairs and held hands when we had to
I noticed we were both shivering in a way we weren't supposed to
The greetings came, I said 'Peace be with you'
You asked for a kiss and of course I didn't let you
After the mass we went to this stall
You ordered me a sprite and asked if that was all
I nodded; and then we went back to my house
We sneaked in the gate just like a tiny little mouse
We sat on a rock and decided to look up
That's when I noticed the stars shining from above
You've told me so many times how you loved looking at the stars
But that night, we watched them together like the whole world was ours
It was 10:30PM when you decided to leave

PoetryJust so you know these are all true. I wrote this on a Wednesday at 10PM, after our 2nd encounter on the street.
