TODAY WAS THE DAY. I was leaving my home once again this summer to go to a camp. I woke up,My heart was racing, and I quickly got ready to leave. I had to quickly pack. I put everything off till the last minute since I wanted to try to stay home. That wasn't going to happen. I tried to beg my mom to let me stay. It didn't work. I quickly brushed my teeth and ran out the door. The drive to Oldham County High School was long and quiet. I imagined me siting on a bunk bored out of my mind. I tried to remember that I had everything. I had gone to there office on Friday to get my head checked for lice and the highlighted my name so I could get on the bus.

We pulled into the parking lot.I took a deep breath and opened the silver Ford Expedition door open.I saw all five of the big yellow school busses lined up. I walked to our bus and signed in. A skinny girl with long black hair in a French braid asked me;
" Name."
She didn't sound very nice or happy.
" Reagan Hornback."
I said with a lot of confidence.
" I'm sorry I can't let you on the bus, your name isn't highlighted and you don't have the pink slip saying you got it checked somewhere else."
"Are you sure, I went to the 4h office and they said I was good."
"Well, I still can't let you on the bus."
I walked away. This is stupid. I know I got my head checked.
"Hey Reagan!"
I turned around. It was my Aunt Amanda. I looked beside her and saw Maddie and Trevor next to her.
"Why aren't you on the bus?" Maddie asked me.
"They won't let me on bc they said I don't have my name highlighted."
"One moment, let me go talk to her." Aunt Amanda said.
I heard the two of them talking about me. The girl with the list wouldn't budge.
Another young girl with Carmel hair pulled up in a messy bun came up.
" Gabby, let her on do you really think she would lie about showing up?"
" Stay out of this Georgia." Gabby said.
"Looks like you are going to have to redo your head check if you want to get on.
We went to get the head of the Oldham county side of camp. She thankfully remembered me.
"Oh, yes! I remember you! I talked to your mom, don't worry I'll tell Gabrielle to let you on."

I got onto the bus.  I was really hoping Gabby wasn't in my cabin. Being  he only girl cabin on the bus, I was out of luck.
I read Eclipse for twenty minutes.A girl on our bus was throwing up a lot. I started to feel sick and fell asleep.
