Picture above is what Ryuu looks like.
Ring~ring~ring~
"Are you gonna answer that Ryuu or you just gonna continue to space out?" I look up as soon as I heard my name.
"Oh hey Taiga sorry I'll get that," I say still half out of it. Today was my birthday and I knew mom and dad were gonna call I always spaced before they did and tried to not act like I normally did but they already knew what I was up to. They already knew I wasn't in that great of a place but I loved it here. I only ever wondered about my two brother the identical ones of the three of us. I wonder if they remember us.
"Hello mom?" I answer staring over the other building.
"Oh sorry I must have dialed the wrong number," a male voice says. I know this person. I quickly snatch the phone away from my ear. This is my mom's number.
"Excuse me but is this Mrs. Hitachiin's phone?" I ask narrowing my eyes despite talking to my older brother for the first time in many years.
"Um yes she told me to dial a Ryuu for her," Kaoru says uncertainly. "Why did you say mom though?"
"You misheard me I said ma'am not mom," I lie.
"Oh ok," he says not believing me.
"Where is she?" I ask annoyed.
"Hey mom you said he was polite not rude!" he screams. I stand and begin to pace slowly swinging the bat in one hand as I listened. Taiga kept a close eye on me.
"Hello Ryuu is that you?" mom asks sounding a bit worried.
"You know I didn't want to talk to them mom," I grit out upset. "I left for a reason and you know this."
"Alright I'm sorry I was a bit busy my hands were full," she says defending herself.
"Right I forgot," I sarcastically drawl out as the bat swing with a bit more force.
"Watch it Ryuu you don't talk to her often," Taiga tells me.
"Right sorry I just...I wasn't expecting that," I say deflating as I sit back to back with him.
"Of course I'll try not to do that again dear," she tells me. I nod knowing she couldn't see me. "So how are you doing?"
"I'm fine mom," I say.
"Liar!" Taiga screams into the phone. "He just got out of a fight," he lies.
"I did not I had one hours ago," I snap shoving him away with a small grin.
"Oh are you ok?" mom asks me.
"Yeah they're all in the dumpsters me and Taiga took care of them," I smirk. I hear her sigh before she takes a deep breath.
"Ryuu dear I have a request," mom nervously states.
"Alright what is it?" I ask glancing at Taiga.
"Come home Ryuu meet your brothers go to school with them please I miss you very much your father does too," she begs me. I close my eyes as I sigh.
"I can't do that mom. Even if you and dad miss me obviously the twins don't even remember me. I look very different now than when I left," I explain carefully. I don't want to hurt you mom. I'm a fighter, a skilled fighter one that has some connections to some powerful underground people. The phone is plucked from my hands and I don't bother trying to get it back.
"Hello Mrs. Hitachiin?" Taiga says. I don't listen very well as he talks to her. But when he hands back the phone I knew he'd done something.
"Happy birthday son," mom smiles.
