"What did you do to your brother?" Roxanne complained. "He's been in a competitive mood all morning. When I asked, he simply said it had something to with you."
Albus looked up at her and grinned innocently. "I only said I'd beat his arse at our quidditch game today."
A challenging glint appeared in Roxanne's eyes and she leaned forward.
"Is that so? Well let me tell you what I think."
"Go ahead. I couldn't stop you if I tried."
"I think we're going to wipe the floor with Slytherin's sad arses." She said, before heading back to the Gryffindor table.
"You've got odd cousins, Mate." Scorpius commented.
Albus only nodded in agreement.
"I heard that." Rose comments over her shoulder as she walks past, heading towards the Ravenclaw table.
Scorpius winced. "Great." He shakes his head. "The Rose has her thorns ready."
"Your own fault mate. My family has ears everywhere."
Scorpius nodded agreeably. "I've learned that the hard way."
Albus grinned. All too soon, breakfast was over and everybody was heading out to the Quidditch Pitch.
"Alright team." Olvera paced in front of the other six players. "Gryffindor wants to prove something. They aren't going to go down easy. Our only advantage is Potter."
Everybody turned to look at him.
"Most of that team is his family. They're not going to hit a bludger at him, or knock him off his broom."
Albus wrinkled his forehead. "Actually..." he began, but Olvera plowed on.
He turned Scorpius.
"They so will. Fred's got great aim wth that thing. He'll hit it at my arm, leg, basically anything that'll do no lasting damage. Roxy'll just hit it in my general direction."
"At least you're not the seeker." Scorpius said miserably. "They're all out to get me. Not to mention I'm a Malfoy."
Albus shoved his friend. This was getting a bit tiring.
"I'm telling you, they don't care. They don't care that you're a Malfoy, they care that you're threatening their win."
Scorpius rolled his eyes and followed as everyone went to the entrance.
Cheers could be heard from the stands around them.
"Woah." Albus said, feeling the cheers reverberate inside him. "This is quite a rush isn't it?"
Scorpius nodded mutely, the anxiety of the game not allowing him to speak.
They each flew out on their brooms one by one, a familiar voice announcing them.
"And there's my favorite Chaser, Potter!" Rian Jordan exclaimed from the box.
Albus sent her a surprised wave, which she eagerly returned.
"Sorry Professor," she grinned sheepishly as McGonagall gestured for her to continue introducing them. She rambled off the other names.
Albus got into position as his friend rose up above them.
"And they're off!" Rian exclaimed as Albus and Victoire both shot towards the quaffle. Victoire, having more experience, managed to grasp it right out of his fingers and shoot towards the Slytherin's hoops.
