The weather had steadily gotten colder, schoolwork had gotten harder, and the boys had gotten more excited. Soon enough, Christmas break had arrived.
"Oi! Albus!" Scorpius called when his friend didn't respond. Albus's head snapped up in response.
"Yeah?" Albus shook his head. "Sorry. Just thinking."
"About what? Christmas break starts tomorrow! We've got no schoolwork, nothing to worry about except..." he stopped. "Except what if your family all hates me. And isn't my family coming too! Al this Christmas'll be a disaster, and it'll be all my fault."
"Hey!" Albus exclaimed. "Scorpius, you'll be fine. If they mess it up, it'll be their fault." He continued packing. "Besides, it's been what, nineteen years since they last saw each other? No one can hold a grudge that long."

*"Potter."
"Malfoy."
"Harry."
"Draco."
"Apparently our parents can hold a grudge that long." Albus commented, watching as the two fathers glared at each other, ignoring their wives, who were pulling at their arms.
Albus's mother finally succeeded in pulling away her husband, heading into her brother's kitchen. They were all staying at Uncle Charlie's house, since they alternated houses each year. Not to mention his was the biggest.
"I'm gonna go talk to him." Albus explained, following them.
Scorpius nodded, turning to his father.
"Dad." He began.
"Don't even start." Draco sighed. "I know, and I'm sorry. But did you see the way he was glaring at me? The man hates me."
"Dad, just give them a chance? Please?" Scorpius pleaded. He really wanted to be accepted. The kids already had for the most part, but he was more worried about the first generation.
Draco glanced at his wife, who nodded. He sighed. "Alright. Fine."
Scorpius tentatively pushed through the kitchen door, and saw the three Potter's staring at him. He glanced nervously at Albus, who gave him a subtle thumbs up.
"Well Dad, we're gonna go out to the living room, have fun." Albus pulled his friend out of the kitchen.
They entered in the middle of an intense game of Trivial Pursuit. Hermione had introduced her children to muggle board games, and they quickly became addicted. Rose was the reigning champion, but Louis, who had inherited his grandfather's love of all things muggle, usually gave her a run for her money. It just wasn't the same as having a muggleborn mother though.
"What game are they playing?" Scorpius wondered aloud. Rose smugly sat back on her heels as everybody else groaned.
"I win." She announced. A competitive glint appeared in Scorpius's eyes.
"Scorpius, whatever you're planning to do, don't." Albus forewarned.
"Can I play?" Scorpius ignored his friend, eager to beat Rose.
"Of course." Rose said innocently. "Let's play."

*"How was I supposed to know it was muggle facts? That's rubbish." Scorpius complained. "You should have told me Weasley."
"Maybe if you'd brushed up on the facts before barging in head first like a lunatic, you'd have known, Malfoy." Rose began cleaning up the game.
