chapter 4: enjoy this moment

Tom's POV

Last night I moved next to her, to keep her warm.shortly after , she fell asleep and soon I did aswell.. though in the middle of the night she got up and went to shift, I knew she wouldn't leave because if she was going to, she would have taken her belongings. She dosnt know how to change, while still wearing clothes. It's possible. It just means you can shift without destroying your clothes,nothing more. Guess I could teach her sometime

She came back. now human. and lay'ed next to me. I knew she was kind of embarrassed ,but she didnt want to be cold either. i pretended to be asleep. But I wasn't.as much as I wanted to stay like this,i had to get up and go back for my brother. I had left him at our camp while I went out hunting.. which is when I found jade..he is older by 5 minutes. He is also werewolf, but has yet to change. I know I told Jade I haven't met another werewolf in a while.but at the time I didn't want to mention my brother, but later on I could tell. I could trust her....after all.....she is my mate.... sadly I don't think she has noticed yet. It's common for werewolves to block out emotions,to protect themselves.im sure she will find out soon.

I carefully got up,laying her back on the ground. and went for my brother. Hopefully she is still sleeping by the time I'm back...I don't want her to leave without me. Even if she does, I will find her.

Jade's POV

I was exhausted after the run last night.it had stoped raining, but was still cold,so when I got back I cuddled next to Tom...as much as I find it weird to say, I feel comfortable around him.. weird right? I just met him.

'you should get up Jade, and keep moving ' my wolf said , wakeing me up. Tom wasn't next to me, but I could still smell his scent. 'god being a werewolf is weird.'i thought....not only his, but another one. Male, and I had noticed it before on Tom when we first met.. friend? Family? Maybe he had a group

Sitting up, I took the ponytail out of my light brown hair Letting it fall to my shoulders.and put the band on my wrist, I got up. Grabbed my bag and started walking,by now the two had obviously noticed.."Jade ... wait" Tom called out to me, takeing my hand in his. Stopping me from moving further.

Gently pulling my hand away and hiding it in my pocket. I turned to look him in the eye. "This is my brother, Devin...we uh ..we have been talking and want to know if..idk..maybe we can, tag along?" Tom questioned, smiling sweetly. Before I could reply Devin spoke "it would be greatly appreciated if we could. We would all be a bit safer"...

I sighed... knowing what my answer is..."..fine...." I said. they looked happy, then tom hugged me "thank you so much Jade!"he said ... I was going to push away..before I did...he kissed me...I froze in place, turning very red "heh..s-sorry" Tom apologized.letting go . Devin was just laughing....I can tell,im not going to get along with him.
