As it turns out, having her schedule changed wasn't really as bad as Lauren figured it would be the first time.
It wasn't exactly ideal to work late at night on a Sunday and having to attend classes early the next morning, but at least she didn't have to work on Mondays now. So as soon as she's done with her classes she's heading back to her shared apartment, ready to make up for a couple of days of messy sleeping schedules.
Lauren takes sleep very seriously. She has to have at least eight hours of sleep each day to keep herself the least bit sane. The coffee helps as well. Just don't ask her how she manages to keep up with her work and classes and still have the proper amount of sleep each day. She just does. Except, right now, she actually does not.
Her schedule was changed on Friday, and that was the first time she went to work later hours, the next morning she was woken up by her alarm that she had set up wrongly the day prior. That was less sleep hours.
On Saturday she went to sleep at a fairly acceptable hour with all of her other friends that were there having a sleepover. Although, in the very early hours of the next morning, right before the sun could lazily start to make itself visible to the world, Lauren had woken up with a sore neck and most of her body numb from the weight of Camila's body pressed against her in her peaceful slumber.
As Lauren let her eyes adjust to the brightness coming from the TV that remained on as the girls slept, she started to reevaluate all of the choices she had made in the previous night that led her to fall asleep sitting on the couch. Apparently, she was the only one with troubles as well, because as she scanned her friends in the room, all of them seemed perfectly fine and peaceful in their sleep.
Ally and Normani were still on the ground, were they had thrown a variety of blankets and pillows to lay on in the previous night. Dinah was also still in the same couch as Lauren and Camila, but she had apparently moved to a more comfortable position where she then lied with her head on the arm of the couch and her legs were thrown over her two friends' lap.
Camila was also sitting, kinda like Lauren, but she just seemed way more comfortable with her little body completely cuddled up in Lauren's arms than Lauren was with her arms being squished against the weight of the girl's body and the couch. And when Lauren says Camila was 'cuddled up' on her, she actually means 'tangled up'. The girl was full on wrapped on Lauren, her arms held the green eyed artist tight on her spot like her good sleep depended on the girl she was holding.
Lauren could've smiled down at the scene if her body wasn't so painfully sore and numb, and if she wasn't so drunk on sleep at the time.
She soon decided to move to her own bed and get some proper rest even if just for a couple hours. But there was absolutely no way that she could move with Camila still on her. So she decided to just wake the girl up and put her on Dinah's bed – even if she was a little apprehensive to do so at first because Camila just looked cute and it actually felt kinda nice to have the heat of the girl's body against her own, even if the position they were in wasn't the best for Lauren's back, or even more her neck, since she hadn't slept with her head resting on someone else's chest, much like the girl in her arms, but rather with it being thrown back against the back of the couch.
In the end, Lauren woke Camila up by whispering the girl's name on her ear, not wanting to wake her other friends that, again, seemed to be fine where they were. The brown eyed girl hummed in acknowledgement to Lauren's calling but only pressed herself closer against the artist.
