Lauren loved days off.
It was difficult for her to get her schedule to cooperate and give her a day off from both school and work. But with the rearrangement her boss had made, now she would get the whole Saturday to do whatever she pleased.
And what she pleased to do that Saturday was to have a whole girl's day with her two best friends, which hasn't happened in a while since, well, their schedules wouldn't allow it.
So after that morning when Dinah left Lauren in the kitchen, the green eyed artist trying to get away from her own thoughts, texted Normani and Ally to see if their day was free and if they would be up for spending it together, and both girls eagerly accepted since they all had free schedules – luckily for Lauren.
After that, Lauren rushed herself to trade a few of her sketch books of places around the house, not wanting for Dinah to find – and continue to tease her – about the attempts of drawing a certain brown eyed girl friend's with the Polynesian.
Lauren had even invited her roommate to join them, after she got out of the bathroom, in hopes that Dinah would suggest to bring Camila as well because Lauren thought she might still need some distraction, but she didn't point that out to Dinah. But to Lauren's disappointment, the Polynesian did the opposite and said she was just probably go and spend the day with her friend.
Lauren would've mention to Dinah that Camila was invited too, but she thought Dinah knew what was best.
Well, after that, both girls went their separate ways for the day. Dinah was actually still at home and on her sleeping attire when Lauren left, but that is besides the point.
Lauren met her two other friends at a coffee shop five blocks away from the apartment she shared with Dinah. It was their usual hangout spot. After they met there and had a quick chat catching up with each other – not that there was much to catch up on since they did talk all the time, they just didn't usually see each other in person – they went on to the mall, they didn't really buy anything but it was a fun time. They had lunch together and ended up going to the movies just because they hadn't done that in a while together and the whole day they felt like they were back in high school again, and back then they couldn't end their day together without going to the movies and watching a bad movie.
When they where done with the movie, Normani suggested they go out clubbing that night but they realized that none of them were actually in the mood to fancy themselves up and get drunk. So they ended up going back to Lauren and Dinah's place, since the green eyed girl was pretty sure her roommate wouldn't be there, and they could just have a sleepover there.
And that brings them to now, where they're all standing outside of Lauren's apartment while she fumbles with her keys.
"Laur, hurry up! I'm almost peeing my pants here!" Normani rushes her up while shifting her weight from one leg to another. The green eyed girl decides to focus on the task of putting the key on the lock rather than to answer.
"I told you to go after we left the movies, you said you could hold it." Ally scolds her friend lightly, receiving a slight roll of eyes from the taller girl when Lauren finally turns the key in the lock.
"Why'd you even have that many keys anyway?" Normani ignores Ally's comment rushing inside without waiting for a response from Lauren. Not that Lauren thought she wanted one, she was pretty sure the question was rhetorical.
Before Lauren could even close the front door, both girls hear the bathroom door slam shut and Dinah walks out of the kitchen.
