A/N: In case some of you didn't notice, the last chapter was edited! In this case, meaning that I added something to it that I had forgot to put in when I first published it. So re-read the middle of that chapter if you haven't already!

You hesitantly blinked your eyes several times before fully opening them. Wearily glancing around, you pushed yourself up with your arms. Looking at your alarm clock, it read 5 AM. Yawning, you moved your legs and felt something brush against your left one. You turned around carefully, only to find a sleeping Chara laying there. Oh right, they were drunk last night. A couple strands of their hair were spread across their face, one even in their mouth.
Snickering silently to yourself, you watched them sleeping peacefully for a few moments before carefully moving their hair out of their face and mouth. Luckily they didn't wake up, and you didn't really want them to. You couldn't help but bend down and kiss their cheek gently, remembering how seductive they were last night.
Sitting back up, you stretched your arms and back before sighing and looking back down at your passed out demon friend. Or should you say, (boy/girl)friend. You noticed their eyes wearily open before glancing up at you; the bright shade of red warmly meeting your (E/C) ones. "Morning, sunshine.", you said quietly, gesturing a gentle smile at them. They stayed silent for a few moments before smiling back and looking up at the ceiling, then at their body under the bed sheets. "What happened here?", they asked curiously.
"You went drunk last night.", you snickered as they held their confused expression. "Oh... oops.", Chara mumbled as they hid their mouth under the cover. "It's fine, but I've been wanting to ask you something about a thing you said.", you paused as they gave you a look as in saying to continue. "Did you really mean it when you asked about being my (boy/girl)friend?", you asked without hesitation. Chara blushed and glanced away from you, as if trying to think of something.
"Well, I guess...? Or I mean, perhaps? Uh, I-", Chara spoke hesitantly, as if not having an idea of what to say. You knew you'd have to step in, or they'd be here all day trying to figure out words. "C'mon Chara, just be honest.", you spoke with a smirk. "Humans date when they enjoy being around each other, right? I d-didn't mean to say it straight forward yesterday but, it was worth a shot.", they spoke almost immediately, the blush on their face deepening. You smiled down at them, a blush appearing over your own face aswell.
"I accept.", you said, trying your best not to sound embarrassed. Honestly you felt like this wasn't anything too major, since you and Chara had already done so many things together before even coming across the thought of dating. It was so sudden, you somewhat felt that you had already been dating them. But you knew this was a big step; for you, Chara, for everyone. Dating moves the friendship to a special relationship; a bond full of sacrifice and love. You knew you were willing to risk anything for Chara, and you knew they'd do the same.
It felt right, yet so wrong. It was like that strange eerie feeling you sensed when you went to the flower field; telling you that something wasn't right. Perhaps it was your consciousness, telling you not to fall in love with a murderous and deadly demon. Yet it wasn't your choice; you knew you had fallen for them already, whether you had liked it or not. Not to mention Chara, of course, who didn't have a soul. You knew they had to be feeling things, human emotions, in the same way Frisk had explained about Flowey with fear.
But you knew it's been so long since Chara has felt anything. Anything at all. Taking all of this into your own hands was something big, and you didn't expect yourself to think too much about it. But you did. And what if Chara was merely confused? Maybe what they were feeling wasn't love and just need or affection? You weren't too sure by this point, but you didn't want to think about it. You tried your best to keep your mind from going deep into thought.
*But it refused.
It was as if you couldn't control yourself; you couldn't control your own thoughts. You couldn't stop yourself from thinking about Chara's past and everything that resulted into where they are now. You were happy, yes of course you were. Chara's here with you now, and always will be. But a pang of guilt and sadness somehow managed to hit you behind that sense of happiness. Why so? You weren't too sure, but if you were going to be confirmed as Chara's (boy/girl)friend, you would have to take this seriously. Perhaps because you're now in a relationship, you couldn't help but wonder so much. But you're only human, and it wasn't your fault.
"So can I call you cute nicknames now?", Chara interrupted your thoughts with a cheerful smile. You looked down at them and returned the smile, laughing a little at their question. "Yes, now you can.", you replied mockingly as you fully sat up. They chuckled and reached over to boop your nose, in which you turned to smile down at them. Before you could boop their nose back, your room door was opened slightly.
"(Y/N) get ready, we're taking (R/N) to the airport in 2 hours.", your guardian semi-whispered before closing the door once again. You looked back down at Chara, who pushed themself to sit up and completely noticed that they were in your bed right next to you. "So um...", they trailed off, not knowing what to say. "We should get changed, hah.", you suggested. "Oh c'mon can't we just stay here?", Chara whined as they laid back onto your bed. "Pfft, I sure want to!", you exclaimed lazily as you laid back next to them.
You cuddled next to them and sighed, wishing you could stay in their arms forever. But you had things to do, and you knew your guardians would make do them if you refused. And hell, if that didn't work, life itself would just kick you in the rump.
