Braids tangled in her hair
Metal bars lay beyond her brown eyes
She wanted to dance her way to the other side

Birds sprang from their nests
Drawn to the wisp of her breath
She was wearing white rags that cascaded to the ground
She moved slowly careful to make no sound

A garden was growing in her mind
Although it was beautiful it left her sane thoughts behind
But even she knew there came a time for flowers to shrivel up and die

And she looks down to see, she's over a canopy of trees
And then lifts her heavy eyelids to realize it was all just a dream.
