The last time I've seen penny was in the park all alone. I happened to pass by and I saw her sitting on a bench facing the sky with her eyes closed. She seemed to enjoy the night winds.
I've never seen her since then. I started to realize that she didn't come to school or to the park that she liked. Three days later I started to notice a missing persons poster on some of the walls, I had a look at the poster and in bold letters "MISSING PERSON PENNY HERNANDEZ". I was shocked that she went missing, I thought she was sick or had the flew. The next day at school everyone was talking about penny. "You know that one girl penny Hernandez....she went missing" "Who could have taken her?" "Did you hear penny that weird girl went missing"......... That's what I'd hear around school for a straight month.
I heard that Penny's Mother and father called the police to go search for her the day she didn't come home, but sadly they found no trace of her.
Penny's parents were devastated knowing that their precious daughter could've been stabbed and left to die, raped, or even murdered, but they hoped that she was safe. The police were on this case day and night. They asked students around the school if they know anything about penny or where they've last seen her.
I didn't tell the police that the last place I've seen penny was in the park. I had no reason to tell them, or let's just say I couldn't tell the them. A week later and still no trace of penny. Police were still looking for her, but slowly they started to give up on finding her. They all thought that she was gone forever.
