Your POV
I woke up to the sound of someone shifting around me. My ears pricked up and I looked beside me to see Sans mumbling, his head shifting back and forth as he made some incoherent gurgling noises... I didn't know skeletons could gurgle.
Sans kept mumbling Papyrus's name, reminding me of how I acted as a pup and I couldn't find dad on a hunt. As if muttering his name will make him appear. But it never did, and eventually fear would cause me to howl his name, most of the time scaring away any good pray.
Shaking my head I pushed away the memories, I could feel my chest tighten as I thought of my family... A family I would never see again.
Rubbing a paw against my eyes, I pushed back the tears, leaping to my feet... Though it wasn't a good idea as I just fell right back onto the ground with a loud *thump*. Whimpering I tried again, pushing myself to my paws, ignoring the severe pain and aching that ran though my bones.
A sudden realization hit me. I was sitting next to two skeletons... Dogs like bones... They are made of bones... I am a dog... What do bones taste like? I mentally slapped myself before getting ready to wake everyone, I couldn't gnaw on the skeletons... Even if I was curious on what bones tasted like.
Clearing my throat, I let out a loud high pitched bark.
Sans was the first to shoot up, while everyone else was groggily complaining about their dreams and missing out on quality rest. I barked again, while my tail swayed behind me, attempting to grab the monsters... Plus one human... Attention.
"What the hell?!" Undyne screamed, her red hair tangled inn every direction. "I was having a great dream about beating up humans!"
"Undyne dear, we can't hurt the humans here," Toriel scolded the fish. "We need them to accept us."
"Then I! The great Papyrus! Shall make the human the best spaghetti ever!"
I flattened my ears at his loud voice, it was still echoing in my brain.
While the group of monsters argued, I looked over at Sans, who had slunk into the shadows of a oak tree. Limping towards him, I sat down, resting my head in his lap. He lifted his skull to reveal his tear stained face. Fluorescent blue droplets were dripping down his boney cheeks and into his lap... And on my head but I didn't mind.
I let out a quiet whine, staring at sans with worry in my eyes.
"Heh. I'm alright kiddo. Just 'bone' tired." I glared at him, telling him I didn't buy it at all. "Alright, no need to get mad. I just had a bad dream."
Lifting my head slightly, I pressed it into one of his boney hands, nudging it with my cold nose. Sans lifted his had and began to pet me, soft, slow strokes.
A wolffish smile curled up my lips as I sighed with pleasure, scooting a little bit closer to the skeleton.
