Hey so I know by the time this is released that it will technically be Monday and I apologize I had to work and by the time I got home it was already 11 and I had to work on some personal stuff but as promised it is here the first chapter of my book I'm sorry it's a little small but it's just the beginning as you guys give me advice I'll get better (hopefully) anyways I've talked long enough... enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~There they were, on stage again,
Probably receiving another award.
Hi I'm Caleb, just the weakest son of the two most powerful Elementals alive.
But that's besides the point your probably here to see my parents get an award... or read about it I guess,
As I stare up at my parents my mother in her shimmering red dress and my step father in his favorite white suit, I guess you could tell exactly what their elements were just from glancing.
My mother with her fiery 'Don't talk to me' look and my step father with his soft caring look which couldn't be further from the truth, if you asked me I'd say they were polar oposites, but I guess that is why they say oposites attract.
Seeing as today is their day to stand out being bright and powerful with their only talented son.
If only I was that son, no I'm at the very back of the crowd wearing a very dark suit per my step father's intructions, he said the less attention I atracted the less beatings he would give me that night.
Not like it mattered to me I was beat black and blue every night, every one of his punches at this point just felt numb.
Last night he knocked my nose out of alignment... again, I can't say I didn't feel that one.
Sometimes I feel like I was born into the wrong family, maybe I should have been born into a warriors family, I sure can take a beating.
Or maybe an assassin, I do like sneaking around, makes me feel powerful to know something you shouldn't know.
Anyways enough daydreaming, I bring my attention back to the stage where my step father beckons me up while gritting his teeth, if it wasn't for the beard he refuses to shave everyone would have noticed the curses he was muttering.
He turn dragging me with him, and faces the gathering army, er sorry I mean crowd, I couldn't tell the difference with the hatred that was in their eyes. I was suddenly drawn back to reality when I heard my step father shouting over the crowd."Hello! I'm sure you've all heard of my step son Caleb? Well as I'm sure you know he's a bit of a late bloomer."
I hear muttering and jokes about how that's an exaggeration and what not, their not wrong I should have gotten my talent a few years ago, but while my pears got their talent and left to do great things, I sat alone being tormented by the people who once admired me.
My step dad tries to quiet the crowd and eventually gives up and just yells again."So to remedy this I will be sending him to the Elementals Academy! Please treat him with the same respect you would treat me!"
And with that he ushers me off stage and into a wagon, while he rides with my mother and brother, I'm in the back of the caravan, with the slaves.
As I'm being shoved in my step father's tells me I'm going straight to the academy.
His excuse is that it's to give me a head start, I just think he's sick of seeing my face.
As the wagon travels a winding rode I soon enter an uneasy slumber.~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well? How was the first chapter? You guys like or no please tell me of you do and if you don't tell me what you think was wrong so I can fix it anyways I'll try to have the next chapter done by next Friday but like always we know how i am with dead lines until next time!
