She'd never admit it, especially not to Cain. But Charity Dingle believes in soulmates.
She believes in fate and being in the right place at the right time, and even though she's been in some horrible places at the worst times, she thinks it all led up to being right here, right now. With the love of her life. It's like there's an invisible wire from her heart to his and the further they get from each other, the stronger the pull, until they end up next to each other again.

-

Cain couldn't imagine being anywhere else but here. He looked over at Charity to find her already looking at him with the biggest smile on her face.
"So, where are we going?" Charity broke the silence with a question that neither of them knew the answer to.
"Does it matter?" He replied, and it didn't matter. All that mattered was that they were together.

-

Hours later and almost an entire tank of petrol later, they pulled up outside a hotel.
Cain gently shook Charity's leg.
"Where are we?" Charity mumbled. She stretched as she woke up and stepped out of the car.
"Haven't a clue, babe." They laughed and made their way to the main entrance of the hotel.

-

"Did you see the way that receptionist was looking at me?! Staring me up and down like she's better than me." Charity ranted, standing infront of a full-length mirror while Cain was sat on the bed laughing.
"Well you are in a wedding dress at 10 o'clock on a Tuesday night, with no ring on your finger." He reminded her and she rolled her eyes.
"Says you, 3-piece-prick." Cain couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Before he could return the sarky comment, the door knocked.
"Lucky we've got these then, eh?" He handed the man at the door a small wad of notes.
Charity practically jumped on him and took the bag.
"I see your feminine fashion sense is just as good as ever" She admired as she pulled out an expensive looking blouse and blazer, paired with black jeans.
"If only you could dress yourself as well." She smirked and Cain clutched his chest.
"Ouch. After all this you still choose to hurt me, I don't think this is gonna work out. I might have to kill you."
"Shut up and help me out of this dress." She cupped Cain's cheeks and kissed him before turning round and lifting up her blonde curls so Cain could undo her.

-

"Woah. Charity? Charity, calm down!" She was thrashing and screaming in her sleep. The cries coming from her were like nothing Cain had ever heard.
"Charity, love. Wake up." He shook and and she sat up, startled.
"I was having the worst dream, Cain. It was so real. It was like, we were right here and we fell asleep and then I woke up, and you were just gone." She buried her face into his chest and he hugged her tight.
His heart aching at the thought of her being so upset at thinking he'd left her.
"Everything's going to be different this time. Nobody's going anywhere, I promise."
