Me and Ben got into the car, he started it, pulled it into drive and pulled away.
"Ben, where are we going?" I asked, scared.
"Hospital."
"WHY?" I was unhappy. I don't need a hospital bill shipped to my house.
"To make sure you are okay. To make sure you don't have a disease. To make sure you aren't pregnant."
Oh my god.
What if I was pregnant...
My life would be over.
No, Sophia. Don't think about that.
We were zooming through every green light, and soon enough we were pulling into the hospital.
We parked in the parking garage, and he helped me get out.
He was holding my hand, and he had his other hand on my back.
Then, he took it off to lock the car, then he put it back on.
Slowly, we got to the emergency room door, and we walked in.
Wheelchairs were in the entrance way when we walked in.
"Hello. What's the problem today?" The front desk lady asked me.
"My girlfriend is having sharp pains in her stomach and she has been throwing up. She can barely walk." Ben told her. He sounded so sophisticated.
"Okay, sir, can you help her get into a wheel chair?"
Ben nodded, and helped me walk over to the wheelchairs.
He was holding my hand, as he pulled out a wheelchair.
He turned it around, and he helped me sit down.
When I sat down, he started to roll me toward the clerk again.
"Okay, sweetheart, can you fill these out for me?" The lady asked me. She was really short, I could barely see her sitting down in the chair.
"Of course." I replied. Ben gave me the clipboard, pen, and he rolled me into the waiting room off to the side.
After I was done filling out my papers, Ben gave them to the short lady, and he came back to sit in the baby blue and black waiting room chairs.
"Shouldn't be much longer." He said to me.
I grabbed his hand, and put my head on his shoulder.
Soon enough, the lady called us back.
Ben rolled me into the room, and sat down in the chair they had in there.
"Hello, Miss Sophia." The doctor lady said. I could explain her in one word.
Fugly.
She had messed up hair, torn clothes, and her eyes looked like they were crossed. But I guess that was fine.
"Hi." I said back.
"So when did this start to happen?" She asked. Here come the questions.
"How long ago was your last period?"
"Um..." I hated those dumb, awkward questions.
"About 2 1/2 weeks ago..." I replied.
"Have you had sex recently?"
Damn...There's that question.
"Yes..." I looked at Ben and gave him a smirk.
He winked. "Not funny" I mouthed to him.
"Okay, Sophia, I'm going to roll you back to a room, and do some tests."
"Awesome." I said to her.
"Can I roll her?" Ben asked.
"Sure."
Then we were off.
