I am due in one more day. I still have yet to talk to Anna, and I still haven't asked Ben about the name. I have the whole nursery set up, and ready for my little girl, and I am just waiting.
Until I decided to call Ben. It was 11:54 AM, and I don't wanna start contractions unexpectedly.
When I called him, he sounded sad.
"Hello, Sophia."
"Hey babe can you drive me to the hospital? I don't want to start my contractions unexpectedly."
There was a long pause. Then I heard keys jingle.
"I'll be right over, Sophia."
Then he hung up.
I hope I didn't do anything to irritate him because that'll be a little awkward.
Anyways, he had showed up at my door in a matter of 5 minutes. He helped me get into the car, and we were on our way to the hospital.
"Why can't your mom take you to the hospital?" He asked, glumly.
"She's at work. I'm just glad my brother is at my grandpar-"
"Remember how I wanted to name this little girl Leah...?" He asked as he cut me off.
"Yes," I replied. "Why?"
"My grandma just passed away last night. Her name was Leah." He stuttered on his words.
"Baby..." I didn't know what to say. I couldn't hug him because I didn't want to distract his driving.
"Well we can name her Le-... OH."
Here come the contractions.
He put his hand on my stomach.
"Don't worry! We are almost there!"
I was in pain until we got there.
