I breathe in the cool fall air as I walk to school. Even in my hoodie, I'm still cold.

I walk up the steps to the doors, only to find a boy pulling on the still locked doors. I smile as I realize who it is.

"Hayden," I say, making him jump. He turns around and grins. "Hey," he greets me, wrapping me in his arms. I pull away slightly, looking around for Hayley. This makes Hayden laugh.

"It's okay. She's at home sick for the day, so we're fine," he tells me. As much as I hate to admit it, Hayley being sick was always great for us. Everybody except for Hayley and her parents know about our relationship. Hayley would freak out if she knew I was dating her brother.

Hayden pulls away so that we're still hugging, but we can face each other. "So," he says. I giggle. "What?" I ask.

"Prom is in a couple weeks, you know," he grins. "Who you gonna ask?" I say.

"Oh, I don't know. I was thinking a really pretty blonde girl with green eyes who is really short," he replies. "Her names Ella."

"I know a girl who fits that description almost perfectly," I say, looking up at my tall boyfriend. "Almost?" he asks. "Well, I'm not exactly pretty-" I begin, but I'm cut off by a finger covering my mouth. "Shh, you're beautiful," Hayden smiles.

"So, what do you say? Will you do the honor of going to prom with me?" he smiles. "Hmm, I'd have to think about it," I laugh.

"I'm not letting you go until you say yes," he says, tightning his grip on me. I try to pull away, but it's not use. He's much stronger than me.

"Fine. I'll go with you," I say. "Good," he replies, kissing me lightly on the head.
