At first, Dale had not gotten a clue about what he was going to do about finding the girls or even stopping the kidnappers. How would his parents react if they found him gone like the other teens? Definitely not taking it likely and even though he loved his mother very dearly and would fight to the death to save her if she was in any sort of danger, he was in love with Elle to the point where he wanted to marry her when they got older. He wanted to have children with her too and in fact he almost did.....................twice. The first time was after they endured a painfully awkward lovemaking session a couple of months earlier and they both knew it wasnt enjoyable. Nevertheless, Elle became pregnant with their love child after taking a pregnancy test. Before they could tell their parents, she had an unfortunate miscarrage. Heartbroken, the two of them thought that they would never even have another session of sharing their love until the day when Karen had said that she planned on going to see the film Inception with them. This time, the event was significantly more passionate and the fact that they performed it secretly made it even more intense. Pregnant once again, they were both sure that this one was solid. But on the day of the strange fire at Bluford, Elle had a second miscarriage.
Now, neither pregnancy was planned and they sure didnt want a child at this time of their lives, but they were willing to take responsibility. This suffering made it seem like they were punished for something and were unable to have babies. Elle, at first, thought that there was something wrong with Dale but she realized that if he was able to do this twice, that he was perfectly fine. So she reconsidered it carefully and came up with the possibility of something going wrong with her.
"Oh, my God," he'd hear her say. "What if I can't ever have kids with you?"
He always told her that it would be fine and that she was paranoid. But was she telling the truth? Was she the voice of reason? Maybe this was the reason to stop committing to their "activities" at this young age. They knew they weren't supposed to be doing this, but like any other adolescent, they would always succumb to their raging hormones and combined with this, Dale's testosterone and their minds telling each other that it was OK and that they weren't infected with any sort of disease, it was almost like a bittersweet, yet desirable magic love potion.
Dale knew that he had to watch out for noises late at night in order to hear the intruders in the neighborhood.
"Get ready," he told himself.
During his time under the covers with lights on and his room completely dark with the exception of his cell phone and the moon light illuminating through his window, he quietly cried for a significant amount of time. He always heard spooky, chilling stories about cold cases of missing people and most of the time, they winded up dead in a rather brutal and inhumane fashion. Whether it was tied up to a pole or having dead, bloodied flies stuffed into their eye sockets, mouths or ears, the situation was still terrifying. He imagined very candid and thorough horrible happenings that was going on with the missing Elle and Karen. He tried to keep it out of his mind, but they kept on coming back.
At about 1:30 in the morning, he was awoken (he had accidently fallen asleep) by the intense pounding on his door and window. It was as if barbarians had run amok and gone as uncontrollable and wild as they usually are. Before he could get out of his bed, he felt a stabbing pain in the tip of his throat and could feel a slight warmth trickling down his neck.
