Chapter 2 - Auntie Of Two?

Alyssa's P.O.V

I was in the car on my way to the pub when Jessica called me.

I answered the call and out her on speaker.

"Hey Jess."

"Hey Aly, what are you doing tonight?"

"Work at the pub. Why?"

"I was wondering if we could hang out when you're off."

"Oh. You can meet me at our apartment at around seven pm and we could get ready together if you want."

"Yeah that sounds cool. I'll see you at seven then."

"See ya."

When I arrived at the pub the first thing I did was search for my parents.

I went in the kitchen and found my dad cooking.

"Hey dad, I need to talk to you."

"Hey Aly-Bear, how are you?"

"I'm good dad, listen."

"Why don't you go say hi to your mother."

"Dad stop trying to distract me, I overheard you that night when you were telling mom how you need thirty thousand dollars."

"Look, I know you've been worrying about that but we've got everything under control now."

"Dad I know you're lying so stop. I can help you okay. We still got till the end of the year so give me a chance all right."I told him. I was tired of my parents trying to shield me from this. I know they don't want my money, but they don't have any other choice.

"Aly-Bear, you don't have to stress yourself over this."

"My god dad come on. This is our family's pub, and last time I checked I am part of this family."

"Okay if you really want to. But don't stress yourself too much over this allright." He warned me.

"Thanks dad. And don't worry about me." I said as I went to take the customers's orders.

It was around six thirty when Jessica arrived at the pub.

"Hey mom, do you mind switching with me?" I asked my mom. I was taking orders and she was behind the bar.

"Sure hun."

"Thanks."

"Jess, what are you doing here?" I asked Jessica as I got behind the bar.

"I was bored so I came here to wait for you." She said.

I chuckled and nodded.

"Can I have something to drink? Or are you just going to let me die from thirst."

"What would you like queen dramatic?"

"An iced tea please." She said.

"Coming right up." I said as I got an ice tea from the refrigerator and put it in a glass.

"Thank you. So, have you figured out how to get thirty grand?" She asked me.

"No, not yet."

"What about what Dominique Trevino said the other day."

"Who?"

"You know, the guy who was sitting with our boss."

"At Hartman's?"

"Yeah. He said he know who might help you."

"Yeah so?"

"Don't you think you should contact him?"

"No. Not gonna happen. Besides he said i'll find out soon. Whatever that meant."

A couple minutes after I said that I saw my brother walk in with his wife and son.

As soon as he saw me, my nephew Aiden came running towards me.

"Hey Aid." I said as I picked him up.

I can't believe he's already five years old. I was seventeen when he was born.

"Hey auntie Aly. Can I have some ice cream?" He asked.

"Of course baby come with me." I said as I put him down and grabbed his hand.

"Aren't you gonna give your big brother a hug Aly-Bear?" My brother asked.

My brother also calls me Aly-Bear.

It's been that way ever since we were kids.

Flashback

"Aly-Bear, Dwaynie-Boo go to sleep it's late." My daddy said.

"Okay daddy." I said.

"Daddy, why do you call Aly 'Aly-bear'."

"Because I love her and-"

"But daddy, I love her too. Why can't I call her Aly-Bear?"

"You can if you want."

"Yay thanks daddy."

"Come on Aly-Bear let's go tell mommy."

End of flashback.

"I missed you Dwaynie-Boo. " I said as I hugged him.

"Me too Aly-Bear."

"Ice cream please." Aiden said as he pulled on my jeans from my ankle.

"Let's go baby." I said as I took his hand and led him to the kitchen.

After getting him his ice cream we went back out.

"What's going on?" I asked as I saw the grins on they're faces.

"We're pregnant." My sister in law Melissa said as she looked at my brother with happiness in her eyes.

"Oh my god. I'm so excited for you guys." I said as I hugged her.

I wonder if i'll ever be happy with someone, like Melissa is happy with my brother.
