After yesterday's antics, I knew I had to do some damage in order to keep Calvin from telling Yezan that I was sleeping with Shawn. Our marriage was already on the rocks and him finding out that I was stepping out on him with his brother would only make matters a thousand times worst.
I still was trying to get over the fact that we got caught. I wished I had of been more careful.
All night I had thought long and hard about what I was going to do. I had to find some way to keep Calvin quiet as possible and I knew the only way to do that was to get rid of him. I got out of my car and went to his apartment door. I did a few soft knocks before I heard him coming to the door. he opened the door and gave me a stink face. "What do you want?" he asked.
"Its rude not to invite guest in." I responded.
He let out a deep breath then he moved out of the way for me to walk down. I walked in and immediately started being nosey. To my surprise, his apartment looked nothing like I thought it would. It was nicely decorated with a red and black theme and it also was spotless.
"I know why youre here." he said then he shut the door. "I'm not gone keep quiet. Yezan is a good man and he deserves better."
"And so do I." I told him. "You think I don't know about his affair with little secretary, assistant, or whatever she is. He's out with her all damn day while I'm at home bored and lonely."
"That ain't none of my problem." He said.
"Your right." I responded then I pulled my pistol out of my purse and aimed it at him. I closed my eyes and tried to tone out him pleading for me not to shoot him. My hands were shaking and my eyes were getting watery. I thought that I had planned this out well and that I would be able to go along with it, but I couldn't. I lowered the gun and opened my eyes.
Calvin was standing shaking fearfully. He even peed himself. "I can't do this." I said aloud, more to myself, then I found myself running out of his apartment and speeding off in my car.
I didn't know where to go, but I was too afraid to go home. I was too ashamed. I knew for a fact that Calvin was going to tell Yezan now.
I decided to go to my cousin, Hakeem's. When I arrived outside his house, his car wasn't outside. I got out of my car and walked up to the front door and looked through the window. It looked like no one was home so I got the emergency key that was hidden in a plant next to the door. I unlocked the door and opened it and was hit with a horrible smell. His dog greeted me with his tongue out and he was panting due to the air not being on. I went in the kitchen and filled the dogs bowl with water then I went and turned the air on.
I walked around the house and saw how messy it was. "This nigga is fowl." I said to myself. "He ain't have on no fucking air. Got food spoiling and this house is a mess."
I took a deep breath and went upstairs to the bathroom and ran me some bath water. While my water ran, I decided to call Hakeem to let him know that I was staying at his place for the night even though I knew he didn't mind. I dialed his number and awkwardly I heard a phone ringing in another room.
I walked in the hallway and tried to follow the ringtone. The hallway was dark so I could see what appeared to be a light coming from his office. I opened the door to his office and found his cell phone sitting on the desk. I hung up my phone and picked up his. I didn't know the password so I couldn't unlocked, but I saw he had tons of missed calls and texts.
I put the phone back down and started to make my way back into the hall until I slipped and fell. The room was dark, but I could that whatever I slipped on was wet. "Shit!", I said angrily. I got up without busting my ass and turned on the light. I looked down and saw blood all over me. "The fuck."
A feeling came over me and I automatically knew I wasn't in the room alone. I was facing the doorway and my heart was beating fast. I wanted to run out of the room, but I couldn't move. I decided to pull a white girl in a horror film move and I slowly turned around and saw Hakeem covered in blood and slumped over in his office chair.
I didn't know what to do. I freaked out. I ran and grabbed all my shit out of the guest bedroom and I ran out the front door, but I didn't get far before I knew it I was being held at gunpoint by the police.
"Drop everything and put your hands in the air. The cop demanded.
I drop my purse and clothes and put my hands up like i was told.
"Get on your knees." He said.
I got on my knees and about three cops approached me. One handcuffed me, another read me my rights, and the other just watched. "What's going on? What did I do?"
"Your under arrest for the murder of Hakeem Moore." He responded.
