"Storm, get your sleepy ass up. We're running late!" Alyxx shouted, pounding on the bedroom door. I groaned and pulled the bed curtains back, letting the dim light from the window filter through. Sitting up, I gently arched my back, cracking it. I stood up, walked over to my closet, and pulled my leather pants with lacing up the sides off their hanger. I pulled my babydoll off and hung it on the closet door.

The pounding at the door continued. I slid off my boyshorts and tossed them into the hamper, then put on a black lace bra. I pulled my pants on as I walked over to my dresser. Sitting on top of my dresser was a stack of my clean clothes. I pulled out a simple black sweatshirt and threw it on over my bra. The pounding got louder. I grabbed my phone and swung the door open. Standing outside was Danny. A low growl escaped my lips as I grabbed my keys off my desk. He laughed as I locked my door and walked by him. I headed downstairs, tucking my keys and phone into my back pockets.

When I got downstairs, I stopped short at the entrance of the living room. Becky was hanging all over someone. My heart dropped when realization set in. 'Jakob...' I thought, feeling pins and needles being driven into my fragile heart. I grabbed my boots out of the doorway, slid them on, and hurried out to my truck, slamming the front door closed behind me.

I walked quickly down the front path to the driveway, where my 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 Turbo sat. I opened the driver side door and climbed in. As I pulled my keys out of my pocket, someone tapped on the window rhythmically. Ignoring the tapping, I started the truck and revved the engine. The tapping continued. I looked over and sighed. Standing on the other side of the glass was Becky, Jakob, Danny, and Alyxx. I pressed my middle finger against the cool glass, then took my truck out of park, put it into first gear, and took off.

Thoughts buzzed in my head. I drove for about 20 minutes to get to the nearest Starbucks for my morning shot of espresso. Before going in, I opened the center console and pulled out my bag of body piercings. I took out a black flower belly button ring, a black lip ring, barbells for my hips, and a diamond nose stud. I looked in the rearview mirror as I put my jet black hair up in a ponytail. I smiled in satisfaction and turned my truck off. I took the key out of the ignition, then jumped out of the truck.

A younger couple came out, the man holding the door for me. I smiled and nodded to him. He smiled back. I walked into the semi-crowded building and went straight to the counter.

"Jeremy, hit me up with a white chocolate latte with a double shot of espresso." I stated, leaning on the counter.

Jeremy, who is a werewolf, turned around and flashed a smile at me. I smiled back as he scribbled down my order. "Coming right up, baby girl." He smirked and went to make my drink. I went over to the bakery case and looked at the delicious items.

The bell above the door jingled as the final group of teenagers left for school. I felt myself smirk as thoughts danced in my head. "Hey, Jeremy, can you add a french toast bagel with cream cheese, three brownies, and a red velvet cupcake to the order?" I asked innocently.

Jeremy laughed as he set my latte on the counter. He walked over to the bakery case with a tray, his hand brushing the side of my thigh. "Anything else?" He asked.

"Wanna meet up when you get off work?" I replied.

Jeremy smirked at me. "Where shall we meet?"

I wrapped my arms around his neck, hugging him. His right arm snaked around my waist, his fingertips gently dancing across my lower back. "How about we meet at my house around, say, 12ish?" I whispered.

Jeremy laughed. "It's a done-deal, baby girl." He pulled away and kissed my forehead. I walked over to the counter while Jeremy packed up all of the baked goods that I ordered. He came over, calculated my order, and put everything in a bag. "The total is $10.70."
