Your fingers threaded through his white hair unable to digest the scene in front of you. If you remembered correctly he was in the hospital when you last saw him barely able to stand, but now here he is standing before you glaring into your (e/c) eyes with a warm smile on his face. You felt the corner of your eyes prick with tears and you bit your cheeks to keep them in.
"Hey (y/n) are you ok?"
At the sound of his voice your knees began to shake and the tears started to roll down your cheeks freely. The shaking in your knees became too much to bare and they gave in causing you to fall onto his chest a sobbing mess.
"Toby I thought I lost you when you weren't in your hospital room."
You felt his arms circle around you as he supported your weight. You looked up into his eyes finding yourself more drawn to them than previous times.
"I couldn't leave you and feel satisfied with myself. I'm not leaving you anytime soon. I love you too much for that."
Your eyes widened at his bold confession and more tears poured out of you eyes as you told him the five words he's wanted you to say for a while now.
"I love you too Toby."
