Hello before we begin this chapter I just wanted to put this warning at the beginning. This is a little different than the stories I usually write. There are themes of abuse and neglect and if it may trigger you then please skip this chapter. But do know no matter what you are going through and how it is you may feel I love you. Even if it feels like the world has turned it's back against you I've still got you and I'll be here for you. Feel free to reach out to me if you need someone to talk to or if you need a quick word of encouragement.

This was requested by @Jordanray616 and may I say thank you for this request. I've learned a lot writing this.

Here we go

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

(Y/n) stared at the test paper in her hand and sighed for what may have been the sixth time since receiving the grade. The grade wasn't bad and she managed to place fourth in the class with her score but that would all mean nothing back at home. Like her parents always said

"If it's not a hundred then it's a failing grade."

Grades below one hundred percent usually resulted in punishments. Memories filled her mind of the last test she received with a really low score. She was thankful the next few days would be a holiday from school as sitting and laying down we're a difficult task.

The bell rang signaling the end of the day and her class filed quickly by one leaving her behind to pack her bag and close the door as usual. Maybe her parents would forget she took a quiz and not ask about her grade. With enough positive energy things could work out in her way.

"Alright (y/n) while the class is empty this is your chance." (Y/n) stood in the center of the room and squatted a little low. She fixed her hands as fists in front of her and closed her eyes tight. "Good energy~. Good energy~. Forget the test. They will not ask me about the test."

As she found her rhythm and got more into her chant the door was knocked suddenly and the (h/c) fell into a more "natural" pose.

"You ok (y/n)? You looked constipated just now. If you drink some tea it should help you out."

Stiff movements turned the girl's neck toward the voice speaking to her and it seemed as if the world crashed around her when she stared into honey colored eyes. Of all people to find her trying to change her fate it had to be this guy.

"I'm perfectly fine Gingka. Why wouldn't I be? It's rude to ask a lady of she's constipated you know." She glared at him.

"You're right but you hardly qualify as lady so it's not that much of a problem." His grin seemed to brighten up the room until the wind was knocked out of him.

(Y/n) moved her fist from his stomach and dropped her hands down to her side before bowing to him as one would their sensei.

"See this is exactly why I say you're not a lady. Geez that hurt." Gingka stood up and rubbed the part of his stomach she punched. "What are you still doing here? It's getting late."

"I was just thinking before going home. Lots of homework to do you know." She prayed that he'd accept her excuse this time cause there was no way in hell she was gonna tell him she was scared to take her "bad" grade home.

The look on his face said otherwise but the redhead just shrugged and let it go. "Whatever you weirdo. I got my ruler I came back for now come on. I'll walk you home."

(Y/n) smiled and grabbed her bag to walk home with him. They were both second years in high school and they've known each other since their second year of middle school. Those four years were some of the best years for both of them as they only got closer as friends. Slowly but surely they added more people to their little friend circle but none of their friends would ever be closer than they were.
