Chapter 8

The car ride was fairly awkward Jack and Marcus were sitting in the back cuddling and whispering sweet nothing's into each other's ears. Finn sat in the passengers seat and Tyler was driving. That left Kyle to sit next to the giggly couple.
He spent most of the ride looking out the window or at Finn. Occasionally they'd catch the other giving them glances and their eyes would meet and then they'd look away.

After about 10 minutes into the car ride Marcus fell asleep against the window and Jack nuzzled into his chest and watched out the front window while Tyler drove.
He eventually noticed Kyle and Finn shooting each other glances. He rolled his eyes. 'This is ridiculous' he thought to himself. He remembered Kyle from the night of the party a few years ago. The night he came out to someone other than his family and made friends he hoped would last his lifetime. He smiled to himself and looked at Tyler appreciating his company and friendship.

Jack watched Finn and Kyle glance at each other a few more times before he decided it was high time someone broke the silence.
"So what have you two been up to the past few years?" Tyler asked directing his question toward Finn then Jack.
"Oh you know mate, the usual" Finn said concentrating on staring straight ahead so he wouldn't feel tempted to look back at Kyle.
"LOADS of videos" said Jack "and traveling. It's been great!"

Kyle cleared his voice as quietly as possible and asked, "where all have you been traveling?"
"Over England and the UK mostly but we went to Africa too." Jack answered a little shyly feeling as if he were imposing on a question for Finn.
Finn sat there for a few seconds before deciding to break his silence and add to the conversation. "We got to help raise money for UNICEF. It was a really cool experience I wish we had more time to go other places though like the states.." he died of into silence.
"What about you Tyler?" Jack said perking up trying to ease the tense silence.
"Nothing much. I moved I've been making videos. Feels like a long time since I saw you guys though. I missed you!"
"Yeah" Finn murmured in agreement though he was clearly lost in thought.

Thankfully no further conversation was necessary as Tyler pulled into the hotel lot for them to unload and begin their Vidcon adventure.
