Beep. Beep.

"I'm sorry for you loss Mrs. Lorde. I hope you can take care of your daughter on your own." Nurse Tanya had said to us when she walked out of the room.

"Thank you for trying to save him." I had managed to say through tears even though I was only five.

My mom turns around to leave but collapses. I try to grab her before falling she hits the ground but I fall too. Nurse Tanya helps my Mom and I up. I say thank you again and we leave. My mom's sister takes the keys before my Mom lets out a blood-curling scream. I cover my ears before bursting into tears that my Dad was gone.

My aunt Emma drives my Mom and I home. We get inside but I find nothing to do without him. I have no clue what to do. I'm lost without him. I could go and tell my friends, but...I can't even move. I'm still in shock that he's actually gone. I hear my mother screaming some more before I scream and the darkness reels me in.

When I wake up in my room, I see my best friends, Garroth, and Mhila. I have another best friend who's in the hospital. She's Garroth's older twin sister. She has some sort of disease that should go away when she gets older. I stand up and hug them. Mhila throws her arms around me while Garroth just stands there blushing. When I pull away, I look them in the eye. "You guys would never leave me, right?" I manage to say inbetween crying. "NEVER!!!" Mhila screamed. I hug them even tighter and hold on, hoping to never let go.

But, I can't live a happy life.

Can I?

I smile when I think about how my friends treated me back then. 10 Years ago my Dad died of cancer. 10 hours ago Kat was let out of the hospital. 10 minutes ago I was at party. 10 seconds ago I realized it was a going away party. For my boyfriend, Aaron, who is a senior. He's an awesome boyfriend, but I don't like him that way anymore. He just isn't for me. I walk up to him.

"Aaron. Can we break up?"

"Heck yeah. Long distances relationships wouldn't work for me."

"Good. But can we still be friends?"

"Of course."

I walk away and see Garroth walking over to me.

"Where's Kat?" I ask, knowing she's most likely talking to Dante.

"Talking with Dante." He says.

"Knew it."

I smiled as Alice and Grace walked up to me after the party.

"Dude! Tell Aaron this party was awesome even though it was a going away party!!!" Alice said.

I smiled at her. Grace looked at me and said,"Yeah! Sick party!!!" I laughed as she tried to imitate Alice's voice.

All of a sudden, I hear a horn honking and I see Alice's older brother.

"C'mon!!!!" He shouts.

"Comin!!!" Alice and Grace both say as they run into the car.

I turn around to go clean up but instead, I see Garroth. I decide to ask him a question.

"Garroth would you ever leave me???"

"If I did I would contact you through Sticky Notes."
