Strings of Light

Chapter 1

Ross's POV

I yawn as I stretch my arms out and shiver from the cold air. I slowly open my eyes and look side to side to look at my surroundings. I pull the blanket off of me then make the bed. "Where's Harley?", I ask myself and look around my room. I see her in the corner of the room lying down in her dog bed. "Harley, come here girl!", I say as she perks her ears up and runs at me. She covers me in kisses before I put her down and make my way downstairs. Harley follows me as I grab a piece of chicken from the fridge and feed it to her. "That's one way to get rid of scraps", I say as I look down at her. I run back upstairs to change out of my pj's. I throw off my tank top and shorts and put them in my bag. "I'll have to wash these later", I go to my closet and grab a purple crop top with white swirls coming out from the corner of it. I then walk over to my dresser and grab a pair of black shorts. "Okay I'm done with that too now", I make my way back downstairs and grab a brush. I brush my white hair down to my hips and grab a bowl, cereal, and milk.

I look outside too see the woods. "Hm...", I say as I take another bite of my cereal. I finish off my cereal and put the dish on the counter. I open the back door  and look outside. I hear a whoosh and a dark figure fly past me. "Who's there?", I say looking around, I hear Harley whimpering at the door as I take another step outside. I turn around and say "It's alright, I'm just going to see who's out here." I turn back around to see a bright White glow. "What in the world is that?", I take a step toward it and it hits me in the chest. "Ow!", I scream and look down at my chest. "What's happening to me?", I close my eyes and they become a bright white. I look at my hands and notice that bright white strings of light are coming from them. I hear a barking then my head starts hurting a lot. My eyes get heavy and I'm knocked out.
