Chapter Seven: Surprise!

"Tommy, put the dinosaur down" I scolded the three year old who looks at me in shock and drops the dinosaur, he was about to throw at another child onto the floor.

"Go play outside Tommy" I shooed him away from the table and picked the toys he had dropped on the floor and packed them away. Standing I walked over to the door and saw that only a few kids were left, their parents late for the 'pick up'.

Soon enough their parents came and signed them out after they made small talk about their children's day, and I got left cleaning up as the teacher's went into their office's to relax for half an hour before we can go.

I picked up the tubs of dirty water that had paint brushes in them and emptied them into the sink before I cleaned the brushes and started scrubbing down the paint covered table with a blue - now multi-colored sponge.

"Nice work place you've got here-"

"Holy-!" I dropped a tray of paint and quickly bit the back of my hand to stop myself from swearing, turning I saw Niall Horan looking around the play school with an odd look on his face.

"Niall... I - what are you doing here?" I stare at him in shock before I grabbed the sponge and bent down, trying to clean the paint up. 

"Do you need some help?"

"I - uh, nah, I'm okay. Thanks for asking though" wiping my forehead with the back of my head before I grabbed the tub and hurried over to the sink, trying to ignore the fact that Niall Horan is currently in the building where I work as a teacher helper for TAFE.

"Well, I dropped by your house to ask you on another date, but your mum told me you were working"

"Oh... you know, you could have just called me" that might have been easier because we've texted each other what seems to be non-stop for the past four days.

"I did, but I figured your phone was either dead or you left it at home" I instantly patted my pockets for it and Niall pulls a familiar looking phone out of his back pocket and held it out for me, "Your mum also said to change your ring tone because she was getting annoyed with the One Direction songs"

Oh god...

Blushing like mad I took my phone from him and put it into my pocket before I gave him an embarrassed smile, "So... you wanted to ask me a question?"

"Well, I did - but now I want to skip the question and just go out for some coffee"

"I'd like that, just wait here a bit - I need to go tell my boss that I'm leaving" he nods and I hurry past him, trying to get rid of the warmth in my cheeks before I approach my bosses. Getting to their office door I knocked and instantly heard a faint, 'Come in'.

I opened the door and popped my head in, "I'm finished cleaning and things and now I'm about to head out - is that okay?"

"Of course Emily, see you tomorrow"

"Bye!" I waved and closed the office doors before I hurried back to the room and found Niall playing with a car set.

"Having fun there?" I laughed as I leaned against the fake hip high wall that made a 'house' along the wall, looking down I saw Niall look up at me and I stared at him in amusement because the fact he looked like a kid with a blue car.

"I forgot how fun it was to just to do the simple things, even the ones you forgot about"

"Mmm, you should see me at the play school Christmas party, they always hire a jumping castle - and that's when people realize I am extremely childish when it comes to jumping castle's and bubbles"

He stands, grinning at me, "I'd love to see that one day"

"In your dreams sweet heart" I teased and we both walked out of the play school centre.

"I will get you on a jumping castle, I promise you" Niall and I got to the foot path and I gave him a cheeky grin.

"Alright, let's have a bet. If you can get me on a jumping castle on my own free will, I will..." I trailed off, frowning a bit as I tried to think of something that he will find satisfying in winning the bet.

"You'll have to kiss me"

I stared at hi in shock before I cleared my throat, "I - uh, okay..." 

Okay, I need to find a jumping castle in the next five minutes or I am going to- "Brilliant, now, let me walk you home"

"I thought we were going out for coffee?" I blurt out - oh shit. Now I seem clingy or something! Or too eager! Oh god - would he find that as a turn off with that?! Will he never speak to me again?! Nooo, why cruel world - why?!

"Well, it's almost six - so a bit late for coffee..." Niall trailed off - that's it. I have screwed any possible chances of any relationship with Niall Horan - I hate my life.

We continued walking, and in no time we were in front of my house, "Thank you for walking me home Niall"

"No problem, but just out of curiosity... would you go out on Friday - with me... for coffee?" 

"I-I would love to" 

"Awesome" he grins before he he pecks my cheek - sending my mind in a black hole - meaning I now have no other thoughts because my mind has been wiped blank... all because of a kiss - FROM NIALL FREAKING HORAN.

"Text me Friday, yeah?"

"Sure thing" he smiles at me and I say 'Bye' to him and shut the door, after a few seconds I couldn't contain myself anymore.

"WOOHOO! I'M GOING ON A DATE WITH NIALL!" I cheered, grinning my head off.

Suddenly my bum vibrates - nope, that was my phone. I pulled it out to see a text from Niall...

: From Niall : I see you're excited for Friday, I can't wait either xx :

Oh god... he had heard me... oh well - I'm going on another date with Niall Horan!
