*Cameron's POV*

I walked into the room, my eyes instantly diverted to an old, hopeless, extremely sick human. I felt a connection towards him, I didn't know why or how, I just did.

I twisted my body to look at the door, Melissa was looking through the glass windows that seemed to be the only one not covered, she gave me an assuring nod before turning around and walking away.

When I twisted my body back again I was surprised to find my self so close to the man, the connection I felt from before was still there, no matter how hard I tried to tell myself it was nothing, I wasn't able to convince my self it actually was nothing.

I sat down next to the old man, he opened his eyes revealing a pair of big brown eyes staring right back at me, the blue light coming from the machine next to him reflected of his eyes making them look even more gorgeous, I reached out to touch his innocent face with my tiny hands, I couldn't help but feel my eyes creating a thin layer of tears. You look just like my dad. I thought.

The man looked back at me and smiled, I let out a soft laugh and cracked a smile at him, a real genuine smile.

That's when I felt something warm touch my cheek, it rolled down until it fell off my face and onto my shirt, I didn't dare wipe it's remainder. I hadn't cried ever since my parents died, I was always too caught up in the idea of being fearless, and that crying was a sign of weakness that I forgot how much weight it lifts off your shoulders.

I missed my parents, that was easy to guess.

I stood up and finally wiped the tears away and breathed in, I then looked down at the man and felt bad for what he was about to feel, but this, this was the only way to help him.

I pushed my hand into his chest until I felt his delicate heart beating fast under my hands, he squirmed in pain but I didn't bother stopping him because I had already put a spell on the room that we were in, the spell stops anyone from hearing what's happening inside, even the supernatural.

My body started to feel numb as my skin turned pale as blue veins popped out of my body now visible right under the surface of my skin. The numbness followed the blue veins as it made its way from my feet to my head. The second the veins covered my body I was completely numb, not aware of anything but the life in between my hands, I felt his soul, it seemed free now, my eyes changed into a bright blue colour, even brighter than my normal eyes, light was shone out of my eyes and slowly swirled around me and the old man, my body lifted of the ground a little bit as I shut my eyes in concentration.

I felt his soul rise, seconds later I felt a presence beside me.

You can't save me my dear.

I opened my eyes -that were still emitting blue light that twirled around me in a magical way- quickly as I ran them over the man's soul floating right next to me. His words made me weak at my knees, as absurd as it sounded, I couldn't let this man go, I'd already let go of my parents, and he, he was the only thing that made me feel a connection I only felt with them.

"Yes I can" I said more to my self than to him.

I shut my eyes once again and concentrated even harder on my powers. Gradually, a small pain tugged on my own heart, the one that I hadn't felt for thousands of years, the one that was simply put in me for me to simply say, I do have a heart.

I could feel the familiar sphere of power making its way down my hand and into the man's heart.

I started to gain sense of my surroundings and my body as I felt my feet on the ground again. I opened my now normal eyes and looked at the man, I removed my hand firm his chest and watched it heal really quickly, as if nothing had happened.
