(Percy's POV)

I was finally going back to my mom and Paul's place for a few weeks to catch up after the War. I asked Annabeth if she wanted to come (more like begged her) because it's hard for us to be apart after......you-know-where.

Anyways, we packed our bags and said our goodbyes to everyone as we walked hand in hand down Half-Blood Hill. When I say walked, I mean we raced each other down the Hill to my mom's car. Annabeth won.

"Hey mom!" I said happily as I hugged her. Man, I missed her....and her cookies. I let her go as she went to go hug my Wise Girl.

"Hello Mrs. Blofis." Annabeth said through the hug. Mom let go and looked at Annabeth. "Call me Sally, hun. I always tell you that." She said with a smile. Annabeth smiled back and we got in the car to drive to mom's apartment.

(THIRD PERSON POV)

A/N its honestly way easier writing in third person

They arrived at the apartment just in time for dinner. After dinner came the best part....dessert! They (of course) had blue chocolate chip cookies that Percy nearly devoured. That is, until Annabeth took some from him and told him to share. He frowned slightly at her until she pecked him on the cheek. That seemed to brighten his mood. After that they watched a movie (Finding Nemo:courtesy of Percy) and they all drifted off to do their own things. It was already 10pm.

"Annabeth, you can take the guest room, it's right across from Percy's room. Ok?" Sally said. Annabeth looked towards Percy with a blank expression until he said, "Ok mom. Night!"

"Goodnight Percy." She said and walked to her room.

Annabeth walked to where Percy was sitting on the couch and asked, "What about the nightmares? Wouldn't that bother us and wake everyone up?" She asked nervously.

Percy smiled softly at her. "Don't worry Wise Girl. I'm sure it'll be fine." He said, though she heard a bit of worry in his voice too. She hesitantly nodded and got up off the couch and Percy followed. He wrapped his arms around her waist and said, "Goodnight Wise Girl. Love you." He said as he pressed his lips against hers.

She kissed him back and they pulled apart. "Night, and love you too." Saying and hearing that brought butterflies to both their stomachs at the same time. They went into seperate rooms and drifted off to sleep, nightmares looming in one's mind.

****AMAZHANG TIME SKIP****

It was around 2am when they all heard it. A heartbroken, pain filled scream that pierced the silent air. Annabeth instantly recognized that scream and scrambled out of bed and out of her guest bedroom. She almost ran into Sally and Paul but a look at Annabeth's face they knew that she could handle it.

She opened Percy's bedroom door to see him sitting straight up and his head down. He was breathing heavily as tears ran down his face and he was shaking as well. She quietly walked to his side and sat down in his bed. She touched his shoulder gently to nit startle him and he looked up at her with his broken and pain filled sea-green eyes. It hurt her to see him like this, upset and distraught. He calmed down a bit at her touch but not much as he countinued shaking and crying.

"Percy, hey....it's ok. Calm down, I'm right here." She whispered. He looked at her and hesitantly nodded. She smiled sadly at him and moved closer. "Percy lay down." He hesitantly laid his head down on her lap as she started to stroke his hair, something she knew always calmed him down. She ran her fingers through his messy amd soft hair as she said soothing things to him and soon enough he stopped shaking and crying. He was slowly fallaing back to sleep, the remnants of his nightmare slipping from his mind as he knew his love was right there. Before he fell asleep he heard one last thing that reassured him for at least a dreamless sleep: As long as we're together.
