There was a gorgeous silver necklace in it, with a single diamond stud in the middle.
I was once again speechless; I had never received something like this before.
“So, Do you like it?’’ he asked.
“I-l love it” I whispered.
He came closer, opened the box wider and took the necklace out.
“Turn around” He said.
I looked up at him and turned.
He gently lifted my hair up and I moved it aside for him.
He placed the necklace around my neck.
Then slowly I turned around. He looked at the necklace and smiled.
I saw a sparkle in his eyes; I smiled. I was going to miss him.
“Go ahead” he smirked and pointed towards the mirror which hung near by the kitchen door.
“It looks beautiful on you” he said.
I walked to the mirror. The necklace looked perfect; the diamond lay just under my collar-bone. It really was beautiful.
James came in behind me and softly sighed.
“I will miss you, Jenna” he said.
Tears escaped. I couldn’t help it, it hurt hearing that from him.
“James -I-I love..”
He came in closer, wiped my tears and wrapped his arms around me. He held for a while, I placed my head on his chest.
And he whispered, “I know.”
