You had Call me blaring from your living room in your apartment as you were getting ready for your date with your crush Michael that you've been friends with since elementary school.
You went over to your closet and picked out your favorite strapless floral dress that you paired with your light Jean jacket and light pink pumps.
You brushed your hair out and put on some makeup and made sure everything was good and grabbed your bag walking into your living room to wait for him to come pick you up.
2 minuets later there was a knock on the door, you walked over and opened it to see Michael standing there with a bouquet of pink roses.
"Here these are for you Y/N." He said smiling handing you the flowers. "Thanks Michael" you said before going to your kitchen putting the flowers in a flower pot.
"Are you ready to go" he said as you came over. "Ready as I could be" you said smiling walking out closing the door behind you.
"You look pretty" he said nervously not knowing what to say. "Thanks and you look nice yourself" you said back to him.
We walked down the stairs and over to his car only to see that it was a light blue Chrysler LeBaron.
"Wow nice car" you said surprised as he opened the passenger door for you. "Why thank you" you said as well getting into the car.
He closed the door after you got in walking over, getting into the drivers side before starting the car and driving downtown.
Wake me up before you go was playing on the radio, making it the only sound in the car. "So uh what's up" you asked breaking the awkward silence in the car.
"Well uh I've been getting ready for our date and uh yeah just acting and stuff" he said as he made the turn and drive into the parking lot of the movie theater.
He got out and walked over to your side and opened the door for you, you got out and he closed the door before you guys walked side to side to the entrance of the theater.
Getting the tickets for the movie Xandu and getting the food and drinks with him paying for it all.
Finally getting to the theater you guys sit down watching the previews waiting for the movie to start.
"I can't believe I'm here with my friend, can't mess up. And so far I've been doing good. What am I saying he doesn't care if I mess up. We've been friends since elementary school so we're fine."
I said to myself as we sat next to each other not knowing what to do as we waited for the movie to start.
*Time skip*
Half way through the movie you guys brushed hands as you guys were both eating popcorn with your guys eyes on the movie.
He did the weird stretching arm around shoulder trick as you guys were watching the movie.
