"Hey mom" I said
"Hey Catherine I'm in a rush I'll see you later" mom said replying in such a hurry
CATHERINE'S POV: okay that was totally weird what's wrong with her it's not like she has work today it's Saturday she never has work on the weekend!! So why is she in a rush? Ugh if only I asked her. HAH LIKE SHE WOULD TELL ME! She would probably be like "uh sweetie I'll talk to you later I'm in a rush! I got to find out where she's going!
Catherine looks out the window to check if her moms still there
"Ugh thank god moms cars out there that means that I can quickly change and follow her!" I said
I feel somebody poking me in the back I feel a cold stingy poke.
I look behind and see my mom
"Uhh Hii mom" I say nervously
Wait a minute did I say all of that out loud damn it I thought to myself
"Well Catherine I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I'm gonna ask you" mom says
"What are you gonna ask me muh, muh, mom" I say trying to stall her
"Oh Catherine please don't act dumb I raised you to be smarter than this just spill the beans." mom says while she starts to lose her temper
"OK fineee mom I wanted to follow you because I felt like your doing something fishy." I said
"What do you mean fishy?" Mom says sounding confused
"Ugh mom FINE can you tell me where you go every day without telling me, Jess, or dad.. PLEASE DONT TELL ME YOUR CHEATING ON DAD MOM!! " I say in sadness
"WHAT!! Okay Catherine I knew you would have theories but this theory about me cheating on your father is the worst! Yes we fight and argue.. Um a lot but no I'm not cheating on him if that's what your worried about" mom says trying to clear things up
"Okay fine then what are you doing" I ask with my arms crossed
"So I don't know if you remember but I have been going out to meet with my childhood best friend Sophia we planned that my family and hers will all together go out on a nice dinner together so we can catch up because I missed a lot about her and I want to catch up with her that's all I've been doing." Mom said
"WAAIT SO THIS WHOOLEE TIME YOU'VE BEEN GOING TO SEE YOUR CHILDHOOD FRIEND AND YOU NEVER TOLD US!!" I say while my face starts turning red as a tomato
"Yea Catherine I promise to you that's all I have been doing" mom says in a gentle tone
"THEN WHY HAVEN'T YOU EVER TOLD ME WHERE YOU WERE GOING!" I yelled at mom
"Catherine lower your voice you have no right to talk to me like that" mom says in anger
"Okay I'm sorry mom but can you tell me why you haven't told me or Jessica it even dad?" I try to say in a gentle tone
"Actually Jessica, and your dad have known about this and I thought Jessica or maybe your dad had told you where I have been going so I didn't ever tell you" mom says smiling
"Ohhh I guess that explains it sorry mom for yelling and losing my temper" I say feeling sorry
"It's alright Catherine I understand why you did that though" mom says kindly
"I love you mom." I say
"I love you too Catherine" mom says
Mom reaches out her arms and she hugs me and I hug her back.
