"Okay ladies, in today's meeting we're going to review and study etiquette. But first, tea time ladies. Your tea has already been prepared, one lemon and two packs of splenda. For today's music Lady Margaret chose for us to listen to Que Sera Sera. Enjoy your tea, and crackers but please remember to be polite and use your table manners and always have your right pinkie up while drinking your tea. Oh and of course there are no exceptions for talking during tea time. Every one understand?"

I nod my head yes, as well as all of the other women in the Elegant Young Women's Club. That was a handful, of course. Mrs. Darcy was a talker but she always made sure she didn't speak to much. Or that she didn't say any of the wrong things. She was standing at a fierce age of 54. She was beautiful, blunt, and she was most definitely the ideal wife, mother, and woman. She was the true definition of elegance, I strive to be like her and my other peers at EYMC.

I wait for the music to begin, and I grab my tiny Veltro Gold Saucer. The tea is a boiling hot 110 degrees. Most of the days me and the other ladies just pretend to drink the tea at the beginning of tea time, but today we were learning about being elegant and proper. So atleast speaking for myself, I felt it was pretty rude and disrespectful not to actually drink the tea, rather it was burning hot or if it was icy cold.

I lift up my right pinkie, and sip it twice as the music begins.

When I was just a little girl.

I asked my mother, "What will I be?

Will I be pretty? Will I be rich?

Here's what she said to me

"Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours to see Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be"

When I grew up, and fell in love
I asked my sweetheart, "What lies ahead?
Will we have rainbows, day after day?"
Here's what my sweetheart said

"Que Sera, Sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be"

Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, "What will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich?"
I tell them tenderly

"Que Sera, Sera
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be
Que Sera, Sera"

"Okay, ladies my apologies for not finishing the tune. That is classic Doris Day. She was elegant, beautiful and wise. Were gonna wrap this lesson up quicker than others. As you know Lady Ella must depart a couple of hours earlier to visit Sir Victor at the hospital. He's been injured in a plane crash, but he has minor injuries as well as the other aboard the plane. Moving on, we're going to discuss etiquette in the sofa lounge."

I grab my bag and head over to the lounge all the way down the stairs. I love feeling put together, and mature. I follow the other ladies into the lounge.

We go over etiquette, discuss the next tea party, and the following week's assignment. It turns out Lady Victoria chose me to volunteer at the senior citizens home about a forty five minute drive away.

Of course, I cared about the assignment, and I'm honored that I was chosen to fulfill the assignment. I feel appreciated here, but at times I feel used. Like I'm being used to do the boring work.

I shake my head, ashamed of my accusations. It's wrong for me to accuse the sweet women here of using me for their dirty work or their lazy responsibilities.

I guess Mrs. Darcy noticed my day dreaming.

"Lady Alexandria, is everything alright? You look lost in your thoughts." I feel my cheeks grow hot, from being put on the spot. I know I shouldn't have been wandering off, but she didn't have to throw all the attention at me.

"Pardon my drifting with my thoughts. I'm thankful to be here, blessed to be around such kind and honest women. You all motivate me to be a respectful, independent women. Sorry for not focusing during discussion."

I take my seat and Mrs. Darcy proceeds, giving me a knowing smile, and standing up and dismissing the class.

When class is over, I grab my bag and hurry to the parking lot down stairs and I jump into my car and speed home.

Lately I've been kind of off, I feel like all of my responsibilities are crashing down on me. I feel like I just can't stay focused lately.

When I get home, I check to see if my parents are home. But they aren't even there. So I decide to make a quick snack, all that's really in the fridge is left over's from last night's neighborhood watch meeting. Chicken poppers, cheese on a stick, fruit cab bobs, Cole slaw, and tossed salad.

I decide on a fruit cab bob and I head to my room. I drop my bag on the floor, and slop into bed. I grab a book from my dresser, and begin to chew on a pineapple slice from the cab bob as I scan through the pages of the book to catch up to were I left off. After reading a long two chapters I hear a car door slam. I bite a strawberry off of the cabob and head to my blinds to peek out and see who's there. I head to the front door, and when I open it I see my ex boyfriend Eric Valderaz standing in my front door with white roses and chocolates in his hand.

How cliche.

I blink away my thoughts and smoothen my hair as I unlock the screen door, and welcome him in

"Eric, what are you doing here?"

A/N: dont hate me guys, its a really short chapter ik. I'm sorry, just got bored. 🙄 tell me what you think. If the comments are kind I'll write a longer chapter.
