Shadow POV

I got up and got dressed. I threw my bag over my shoulder and walked toward the school bus. I climbed in and everybody stared at me. Why don't they just leave me alone? I walked to the back of the bus and sat by the cold damp window. The sky outside roared of thunder and rain poured down.

My brown hair was drenched and my black hoodie was dripping wet. When we made it to school I waited till everyone had gotten off the bus before I stood up and exited.

I fast-walked to the door and slipped inside as the bell started ringing. Great. I thought and raced to the classroom.

When I made it to the classroom I sat down in the back of the room and starts on the assignment.

The day was the same as always. 'Sit in the back, finish the work. Get bullied. And ignore everything.'

When I made it back home I ran to my room and fell onto my bed.

That's when I heard them, shadows overtook my room and the started talking to me. "You are needed." They whispered.

"Yeah? For what?" I said with attitude.

"Just come or live in this nightmare you call 'home'." They said evilly.

"It sure doesn't feel like home." I said to myself.

"Then come." They ordered.

"Why should I?" I yelled. I was starting to get frustrated at them for ordering me around.

"Because, you said it yourself! This doesn't feel like home to you! We have a new home for you." I looked at them, they were just dark figures, maybe I could see what they actually looked like in the underworld.

"Lead me." I stated.

They rushed me to the corner of the room and made me step through the wall.

When I made it through the wall the whole place changed!

The portal closed when I made it through.

The whole underworld comforted me.

I walked until I was standing with the entrance of the castle lie before me.

"Why did you lead me to the castle?" I asked.

"Our leader died..." They started but I interrupted.

"You want me to be your leader?!?!?" I shouted.

"YES! But hear us out..." They said in a snake like tone of voice.

"Talk." I ordered.

"You fit perfect to be our leader! Your name. Your attitude. Your rank."

"My rank? I'm just a teenager!" I screamed. I needed them to explain my rank.

"You are..." They started.

"What?" I said almost crying, why has no one ever told me anything?

"You are the Queen's..." They said then looked away. "Her daughter."

"MY REAL MOTHER IS DEAD AND NO ONE EVER TOLD ME?!?!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. "I never even met her!" I sobbed.

"Shhhhh." They whispered and lead me into the castle. "She will be reborn and take her place as Queen in 100 years. You and her are immortal. But she fell into a coma in the last battle. So we need you to be our Queen until she wakes up."

"But she wakes up in 100 years!" I yelled.

"Yes but you are immortal and by then I bet you will look just like her." They squeaked.

"Lead me to my throne." I whispered.

"What?" The lead warrior stepped up. "My name is Tate. I do not believe we have introduced ourselves properly."

"I accept to be your queen." I said clear as the sky above, which was the purest black with waves of red.

"Great to have you here. I will escort you to your room." Tate said.

He lead me to a room at the top floor. "Here's your room. Clean up and meet us at the main room, you should know where it is. There should be clean clothes in the drawers." I thanked him and closed the door.

I heard his footsteps go down the stairs and I sighed heavily.

I walked to the bathroom and took a shower. Once I was done I looked at the clothes in the drawers. Black pants, a black tank top, black boots and a black cloak. My dream outfit.

After I put on the outfit I fled out the door and down the stairs. At the end of the stairs was the main room, but they were long stairs.

When I finally made it down to the stairs I tripped on the last stair. So much for a good impression. And I laughed out loud. Right before I hit the ground, face-first Tate caught me. "Sorry." I apologized.

"Don't be. Everyone falls on those stairs." He laughed.

I smiled and sat at the table.

Dinner was served.

They served me and I sat there staring at my food. Must be some underworld specialty! I laughed in my head while staring at the strange stew.

"To the Queen, Shadow!" They toasted. I couldn't help but smile.

I carefully ate a spoonful of stew. It was amazing! Better than anything on the world above! "It's so good!" I accidentally said aloud, "sorry again." I said.

"Don't be." They said again and laughed.

"It was your mother's favorite!" Tate told me.

"Mine too!" I laughed.

After the dinner I went over to Tate.

"How did my mother go into a coma?" I asked him.
He looked at me and smiled pathetically. His black t-shirt was torn at the shoulder, his brown hair was ruffled, unlike my black hair, which was straight and very boring. He was taller than me and much stronger. I'll need to train here. I thought to myself.

"Well, the night was stormy. And the war had been going on for two years, it was the battle to end it for sure. We thought we had won when an archer had shot the Queen from behind. The archer was killed soon after, everybody thought she was dead so we went with that before we got back and put her in the hospital waiting for her to awake."

I walked away and headed up the stairs to my room.

When I made it up the stairs I fell onto my bed and instantly fell asleep.

This is way to much for a girl to take in, during ONE day!!!!
