I couldn't believe we were late. We had all our bags packed early. I thought       Hedge was coming but at the last minute he said he had family business. I checked the time while I was driving.
"Are we there yet?" Nico moaned half  asleep on the passenger seat. He looked almost as if he was in his death trance, again.
"Almost, we are just about around the corner," I said turning the car to the left. I could see the hotel now. Suddenly a red Subaru was speeding next to us, in the left side!
I guess if they want to break the law they will suffer the consequences. I thought. I hit the gas pedal hard. Nico was fully awake now. We were parallel with the Subaru. When I looked in the window I saw a giant hellhound peeking out of the window. It was drooling as its tounge was flying. It looked like it was having a great time.
         I beeped the horn.
"Get out of the left lane!" I yelled. The car started to slow down and go in the right lane. The car was now behind us.
"We could have gotten in a car accident!" I whispered to Nico. Nico nodded with agreement. We were now almost in the hotel parking lot. I made a sharp turn.
"Finally!" I said smiling. We parked in a spot right next to the hotel. Prime parking! Nico got out on his side, I did too.
"Don't forget your bag!" I said to Nico. He showed me his bag. I had a brown suitcase from camp.
"Aren't you excited" I said while hugging Nico. Nico let out a tiny smile.
We made our way to the door. Nico held the door for me, very polite. There was a fainted man behind the counter. He had slick black hair just the color of Nico's. He was in a fancy black suit. He looked like he was taking a long nap. I could tell Piper was here.
"Hello sir, do you have a two bed hotel?" I asked.
The man handed us a card, moaned then went back to his nap. Nico checked the number.
"One thirty two," he said pointing to the elevator. We walked towards it and pressed the button. Eventually we got to the next floor up. My suitcase seemed heavier as I got off the elevator. Strange. Our hotel room was only twelve doors down on the left. When we arrived we realized it was just a normal room. Bathroom door on the left, and two beds facing a tv. But there was a door on the back wall, it lead to a balcony. I set my suitcase on the first bed. Nico put his bag on the other bed.
"Let's go visit the main lobby," said Nico.
          I nodded.
