Chapter 25
Will repeated his name once again, as if the lack of gushing over him meant I hadn't heard him the first time. "I know who you are," I said, trying not to punch him, only barely succeeding. The only reason I held back is because he has no idea who I am or whose dressing room he's in right now. "Please leave as soon as you can. I'm very busy."
"I'm fine. You can go ahead and change if you need to. I don't mind," he said with a smirk on his face. Right as I had decided to throw my sanity out the window just to get a right hook in, the door burst open.
"Rina, please talk to me," Julian said, panting as he held on the door knob tightly for support. When he looked behind me his eyes widened for a moment before frowning, noticing Will's presence in the room. "What are you doing in here?"
"I was running away from my manager," Will said, casually inspecting his nails as he settled onto the couch. "She's mad at me for changing up my set list without letting her know about it beforehand."
"Such a brat," I heard Julian mutter. He sat on a chair across from the couch and eyed Will wearily. "I would advise you to leave now."
"No worries. This girl doesn't mind, right?" Will said, ignoring Julian and his angry gaze, which only grew more heated as Will spoke.
"This girl has a name," I said, "and I agree with him. I'd like for you to leave. And please leave me alone in the future, if we ever have the oh-so-wonderful chance of running into each other."
Will seemed to ignore me. Instead he looked around the room, stopping on my travel bag and the guitar I brought to practice alone. "So you're performing. When do you go on?"
I walked in front of Will and crossed my arms. "I'm on next. You're being a real nuisance right now. I'd appreciate it if you would leave so that I can get ready."
Will smirked. "Then maybe we should meet up later. Give me your number and we can meet up for dinner or maybe breakfast, if you think you won't be able to meet up until later."
I felt an arm wrap around my waist from behind and pull me back, hitting a toned wall. Julian spoke before I could have a chance to defend myself. "Sorry, she's not interested. Now leave before you get thrown out."
"Alright, alright," Will said, standing up with his hands in the air. "I get it, she's taken. I'll just leave you two alone." He walked out, but not before sending a wink my way. I cringed but watched him leave, thankful that the band didn't have to deal with him. How did they manage with him as a band member?
I stepped away from Julian and grabbed my guitar, hoping to distract myself from the previous scene. He sat down again, watching silently as I rehearsed the songs on the set list for the night
"You're really good."
I looked up to see Julian leaning forward on his chair. "Thanks," I replied.
He eyed my hands as I continued strumming. "I didn't know you could play the guitar."
"I learned when I was younger, but since the band already has two guitarists I don't get to play much."
Julian nodded and moved to sit next to me on the couch. "Why weren't you talking to me today? Tell me what it was so I can fix it."
"I was just playing around. I wasn't actually mad at you or anything." I kept my gaze down, unable to meet his eyes for doing something as childish as giving him the silent treatment. I couldn't face him. Not right away anyways. When I finally had the courage to actually face him, I was met with a crushing hug.
