when matthew knows you'll come running back to him, no matter what

You and Matthew had been fighting to the point where you couldn't take it anymore. The yelling, the bickering, the tears. You've had enough of it, and you were willing to put an end to it, no matter how much you loved him.

You stole one last glance at Matthew before turning your back to him, your cheeks stained with dry tears. "Since you don't want to help me fix this relationship, I think it's best if I pack my things and leave."

Matthew couldn't help but hold back an amused chuckle. Knowing how much he had an effect on you, he didn't have to worry about you never returning; because he knew you'd come back sooner or later.

A smile tugged on his lips as he turned around, walking in the opposite direction as his eyes crinkled, dimples protruding. "Yeah. Okay."
