Travis' POV
My eyes flutter open, signaling not only myself, but whoever else is here, that I'm awake. I turn my body, but fall to the ground.
I groan in pain, "Oww...." I grumble into the carpet that I face planted into.
"I see you're awake." A voice says.
I peel my face off the ground and look up to see Zane sitting in a lounge chair with a cup of coffee in his hand. His eyes are glued to the TV.
"Obviously." I mumble as I pick myself off the ground.
I sit down on the couch. Zane grabs the remote and pauses some movie that he was watching. I'm surprised that he wasn't watching some weird pony show that he's obsessed with. Just... Just don't tell him I called that show weird.
"You have some questions to answer, Valcrum." Zane says.
My stomach turns, "W-What kind of questions?" I stutter a response.
"This question..." Zane's body stiffens as he shuffles around in his seat for a second, "Why were you in your warlock form?" Zane asks.
My body freezes. I was in that form? I mentally curse to myself, "I'm so sorry, Zane." I apologize, chiding myself in the process.
"Why were you in that form?" Zane questions, not paying much (to any) attention to my apology.
I sigh, "Well..."
•Flashback•
I sit down on the couch at Zane's house. I don't know why I'm here. Just waiting for him, I guess. I hear the door open. I tear my eyes away from the TV and look in the direction of the door.
"Looks like you know I'm here." Lucinda speaks.
I get up, "What do you want, 'Cinda?" I ask.
Lucinda scowls, "You know I hate that name." She mumbles, "I was just coming here to say hello." She says.
"I know you.. You never drop by to 'Just say hello'." I raise an eyebrow.
Lucinda and I grew close in high school and went to the same college. Her and I are close. We know how the other thinks and works.
Lucinda sighs, "Fine. You're right. I originally came here to ask how you and Zane were, but since you called me 'Cinda'... I have other plans." Lucinda stuffs her hand in her purse and pulls out a potion. It's color is gray, with small bubbles invading the liquid quite frequently.
"What's that supposed to do?" I ask, disinterested. Lucinda chuckles and rolls her eyes,
"Valcrum.. You're cute, but such an idiot." She mumbles.
"No I'm not! Just get to the point!" I defend. Lucinda sighs
"It's a potion to turn you into the thing you hate most about yourself. And we all know what that part is." Lucinda smirks.
My stomach turns as my jaw drops, eyes wide. "You wouldn't." I snarl.
"Watch me." She says.
Before I can reply, she throws the potion at me. I stumble back and soon fall to the ground. I look down at the back of my hand, fingers fanned out. The gray color of my warlock skin travels down from my forearm to my hand. Tears fill my eyes as I feel myself slowly losing control.
"I hate you, Lucinda." I mumble before completely loosing control.
•Reality•
"And that's all I remember... Other than that, all I remember was waking up a few minutes ago." I finish.
Zane hugs me, "Want to get revenge on her?" Zane offers, nuzzling his head into the crook of my neck.
A smirk forms on not only my face, but Zane's, "Of course." I say.
Zane pulls back and looks into my eyes, "Should we start planning?" Zane asks.
"We shall." And with that, we throw ideas back and forth then soon form a plan. This is going to be good...
