"I lay down on the cold ground and I pray that someone picks me up, and sets me down in your warm arms."

After the bit of a rough landing we had, we could not get the ship to start back up. So here we are, in the middle of nowhere with nothing in sight except each other and a sand seeming to stretch across the land for miles, carrying all of our supplies on our backs. Obi-Wan would not stop apologizing. At this point I wasn't really sure what he was apologizing for- the fact that we crash landed, or just that fact that we were here in the first place. I should be the one apologizing, really.

"Do you know where we're going?" I finally asked after almost an hour of wandering. Obi-wan seemed to be getting tired, but he would never admit it.

"If I'm being honest, I have no idea. Don't worry, I'll figure something out."

"Look, let's just take a break for a bit, you need to rest."

"We've come too far to stop now. If we keep going we could find something- or someone."

We had been walking for hours, though to me it seemed like days. The sun had begun to set, the sky turning from blue to various shades of red and orange.

As we continued walking, the memories of living on the planet flooded my memory. Not every memory was bad. At times, life actually seemed good, as if nothing had ever gone wrong.

"Isn't it beautiful, Jas? " I asked him, as we sat atop of our home, watching the sky.

The sunset was always the highlight of my day. I loved to look up at the sky and watch it change slowly from blue to a deep orange, right before my eyes. At the age of four I didn't understand much, but I did have an understanding of the sunset. Jasper always told me that if I was good, and treated people and things the way they should be, they sky would reward me with a beautiful sight. He said it was a gift.

"It sure is, Astrid."

Each time I think about Jasper, I wonder where he is and what he is doing. I wonder if where he is he can watch the sun set each night. I find myself hoping he can't. If what he told me about the sunset is true, I don't beleive he deserves that gift.

Finally, off in the distance, what looked like a small village came into view. Obi-wan and I both let out a sigh of relief, neither of us wanted to have to continue walking into the night.

"I told you I knew what I was doing." Said Obi-wan, earning only an eye-roll from me, speeding up so that I was walking beside him.

"Actually if I remember correctly, when I last asked you said you had no idea where we were."

"Is that so? I do believe you heard me wrong." Obi teased, and he could almost see a smile forming on Astrid's face.    Her pale face now seemed to be a darker shade of red, due to the hours spent walking in the dry heat of Tatooine, the sun beaming down at them the entire time.

Entering the village was overwhelming. There were stone structures covering much of the village; arches, stairs, and homes. There seemed to be people everywhere, some trying to get people to buy things, some asking for money, others were just children playing with makeshift toys and old, worn-down balls. I wondered if this is the town Jasper left to go to. I wished more than anything that I could forget he ever existed, but I knew that wasn't possible.

"Maybe someone here will be able to help us out." Obi-wan said, feeling hopeful.

"Obi-wan, it is almost nightfall. Maybe we should look for a place to stay the night, and begin searching for the parts for the ship in the morning."

"Are you sure that's the best idea?" He asked me, sounding very skeptical.

"Even if we do find the parts we need tonight, by the time we do it will be far to late to be walking back to the ship. We're sure to get lost." Just as I finished saying this, a small person ran into.

"I'm very sorry, miss. I wasn't looking where I was going," said the small boy. He had sand colored hair, just like Jasper's was at his age.

"That's quite alright. What's your name?" I said, crouching down to his height.

"Anakin Skywalker, best pod racer on Tattoine. Who are you?" he asked with the kind of curiosity you only see in children.

"My name is Astrid Kaine, and this is Obi-wan Kenobi. We need a place to stay for the night. Could we speak with your parents?" I asked, hoping the boy wouldn't feel uncomfortable.

"Sure, I was just heading home. Watto let mother leave a couple hours ago, but he made me stay."

" Who is Watto?" Obi-wan asked.

"He owns me a my mother. We're slaves. He has a junk shop, filled with tons of old equiptment and spare parts." Obi-wan and I exchange glances. Such a sweet boy did not deserve a live of a slave. Nobody really did.

Well, there's that.

I did edit, but I probably missed a few things. Feel free to let me know if there are any spelling or grammar mistakes and I'll be sure to fix it.

Not sure how I feel about how this turned out, it's been forever since I've written anything. Let me know your thoughts :)

Thank you so much for all the love and support, it means more to me than you know.
