"How's she doing?" I heard a deep voice ask lowly as I slowly awoke back into reality.

My thoughts were still jumbled up as if I was still in dream world,  confusion bubbling up in me as I heard another voice reply. I kept my eyes closed, locking myself into the blackness beneath my eyelids. My muscles ached to stretch themselves out, especially the ones in my legs that had been curled up against my chest and tucked under my arms, but I stopped myself so not to alert the person speaking.

"Fine, I suppose, " another voice replied, "she kinda freaked when I started to use my magic..."

I furrowed my brows slightly, suddenly taking notice of the soft cushion-like material beneath my body. I peaked my eyes open, only slightly, glancing quickly at what was below me; a soft bed, and it was nothing like what I had been calling a bed previously. It was softer, and much bigger than what I had ever known, and was not made out of plants and animal skins. But for some odd reason...I felt like I had seen it before, though I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

"Well, I think it's to be expected, Pan."

My mind suddenly snapped into place at the name, and all sleep had rid itself from my body. I finally began to put the pieces together about where I was and how I got here, and who the owners of the  voices were.

I slammed my eyes shut as I heard a shuffle of clothing, trying my best to slow my breath as if I was still alseep. The room went silent for a moment, and I decided that that was the time to uncurl myself from the ball I had slept in, nonchalantly strerching my legs out as I continued to pretend to be asleep.

After more deafening silence persisted, Felix spoke again, "She's practically a wild animal, Pan. She's never been forced into a situation like this, one where you're practically caging her in and keeping her locked up. I'd be careful about when you leave her alone, because it's only so long you'll be able to keep her here before she finds a way out."

"I suppose you're right, " Pan replied, frustration clear in his tone,"Go get the rest of the boys together and take them for a hunt, I'll stay here with her."

Felix stood with a grunt, and with that, footsteps were heard tapping against the wooden floor, and then the flap doors were heard shuffling as he left. I deep sigh came from the foot of the bed, and then the bottom of the bed, near my outstretched legs, sank.

I contemplated whether or not to kick him off the bed, but then decided that it was best to continue faking sleep until he left, at least then I wouldn't have to bicker with him until he went away, and I could just ignore him.

"You can stop 'sleeping' now, I know you're awake," he told me, nudging my leg with what I assumed was his elbow.

I cringed, huffing in disappointment as I realized my plan had not worked. Ever so slowly, I peeled my eyes open, my vision blurred and making everything appear fuzzy and out of focus from keeping them closed so long.

His eyes burned holes into my face, his amused expression making me even more embarrassed. I felt my face heat up as my vision slowly recovered itself to its usual sharpness, grabbing the blanket and pulling it up to my chin as I laid on my back. It was as if I was hiding myself from him, using the blanket as a shield.

Then, I realized something. I'm lying on my back...and it doesn't hurt.

"Pan...what the Hell did you do to my back, because I swear to-"

I was cut off by his voice, stern yet still filled with humor, "Relax, darling, it's not like I hurt you. In fact, I think you'll find it much more comfortable than how it was before."
