They've climbed
I hoped they'd stop
When they didn't
I hoped they'd stay on my thighs
But they climbed
They climbed to my hips
To my stomach
They've gotten deeper
They've gotten redder
They've grown
Not only in size but in number
Theirs too many to stop
Theirs too many to give up
They hurt
But, at the same time
They don't
They've climbed
Not only physically
But mentally
They climbed to the from of my thoughts
They climbed from being a second thought, to the first thing I think about in the morning
They've climbed in importance
They've climbed in superiority
