When Karkat DOES sleep, he has nightmares. A lot. Usually he'll mumble and shift around a lot. Or get a very concentrated look on his face. Terezi and Gamzee used to stroke his head while this would happen, until he was quiet again. After Dave and Karkat established their Bromance, Dave noticed this to, and reacted likewise(petting his hair to calm him down). Sometimes Karkat tries to curl up in his cape when he's asleep.
